Spot is doing really great! There are no complaints here, nope none! Well, except from Spot who seems to be insatiable lately. He is always looking for food and yelling at me...like now...and I just took a test and he's 81, certainly not at "feed me now cuz I'm low" range, lol. Spot loves to sleep on me, maybe because it's a bit colder outside now. He used to sleep on me after I fall asleep, but now, he's there as soon as he eats his nini snack.

RALPHIE UPDATE: Not much to report with Ralph. He is having good and bad times. He walks like a little old man, but at least he is walking. There are times when I pick him up and he cries and there are times when I pick him up and he's like a water balloon. He rests best if he is sleeping on his side and he can just lay his head down. If he is sleeping with his legs tucked under him, he does not lay down his head, he will hold it up. I have the cosequin ordered, should be here in a few days. However, I think he needs more than that. Spot is going in for his dental tomorrow, so I will talk to the vet about something for the pain. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Well, time to get some house cleaning done before heading off to work. I hope everyone has a good day and all kitties behave themselves and stay healthy. Thoughts and prayers to Lorna. Fly free Girlcat!

I hope all goes well for Ralphie, and that the dental helps him some. We wish him well - he's always on our thoughts.

Nothing new to report except I've been sitting here for about a half hour watching Spot play with a pair of purple fuzzy mice the kitties got for Christmas. He has not shown interest in these mice at all until he started playing with them and it is soooo cute! He's throwing them up in the air, chasing them...there's about four of them so he is going from one mouse to the other! This is actually the first time I've seen Spot play with one of his toys in a long time, lol...he likes the laser light alot, but hardly ever shows interest in toys. HeHeHe...so cute he is!!!
 
Sweet surf for Spot :thumbup I love to watch them play too, happy to hear he is enjoying the mice.. all 4 of them :lol:

Spots!! we goin ona train rides...an we gots a sleeper car fur kitties what don feels good...so brings Ralphie!

Hugs sor Ralph Deb. Do you have raised feeding stations for Ralph so he doesn't have to bend down for water? Here's a pic of the one DH Made Maverick. He sits up to eat. http://s302.photobucket.com/albums/nn99 ... ick_21.jpg.

When Maverick's arthritis was really bad he also was recovering from severe liver issues. But we did try Gabapentin which didn't work well. Tramadol was dosed for a while which helped a lot. Metacam/Meloxicam shouldn't be used in cats (assuming most people already know this). I think I told you we have baby stairs all over the house.

I love hearing about Spot seeking you out to sleep on you. That really is adorable. I am happy when Maverick sleeps on the couch beside me or at the end of the bed. Spots numbers are looking amazing!!!
 
Hi Deb, such a nice run of numbers for Spot lately. He's lookin' great! Sorry to hear that Ralphie is still not himself. I hope your vet can give him something that will help. My Ralphie (the Xmas cactus) is sending your Ralphie some flowers (he's having his second bloom).

Sending good vet vines for Spot, tomorrow. And good luck getting the pain meds you need.
Will keep sending good thoughts and prayers to Ralph, too. I hope the cosequin helps him.

Have your video camera ready the next time he plays with his mice :mrgreen: so you can share :-D

BTW, Spot will be going to the vet for his dental tomorrow since it was canceled last week due to weather.
Spot is having a great run of numbers today also!
Ralph also gave me a great number just now...95!!! Woohoo, Ralph and Spot!!!
Now it's time for nini and snacks...Spot will not be a happy camper tonight since all snacks and water will be on hold until he gets home from the vets.....poor Spot
