No more feeding Monkey breakfast foods :) You may though want to make a note in your SS about these contraband encounters (like the treats the other day too) just so you can see the impact on the BG. I'm sure you will get to it but there are not entries in your SS for today or last night.

Just takes some training...maybe like Susanne said, show him the results of the 'snacks' and the resulting higher BG's - somehow you WILL get thru...

I do believe family members can be trained...just like our kitties...it takes time and 'rinse/repeat' emphasis...I don't know about your DH, but mine would have done the same thing back in the beginning - I had to ask him time and time again not to feed her chips, crackers, pizza...she loves hooman food and would always come and beg - you should see her when we get a piece of string cheese out of the fridge - she just goes crazy for some of that. Same for the sounds associated with getting ice cream out - we finally just gave up on having that in the house - she knows all of the sounds; freezer open/close, bowls go clink, ice cream scooper comes out - there she is! Waiting for her portion - no wonder she's a diabetic, huh?
 
It is so hard when the family members just want to treat our furbabies. I have a cupboard full of "safe" treats.

Then there was the time DH was making bread dough and put a starter out on the counter overnight with only a measly plastic wrap over top. That was not enough to deter Neko the carb lover. And guess who got to clean up the resulting diarrhea. :rolleyes: At least he threw that starter out and made another one - in a safe location. :p

I make homemade meat treats for Butters. Just another thought for Monkey. Butters loooooves (yes with that many "o"s) them. Lately it has been pan fried pork that I cut into tiny cubes and store in a freezer bag. Not too far off from sausage links....maybe?!!!

That’s a great idea. I’ve been giving her a pure bites treat when we have meals... because we eat as a pack. But I turned my back .....it’s like they conspire against me :)
