I was a bit perplexed by the 180 yesterday, but Zoozey is showing me some fantastic numbers today. I'm curious to see what his PMPS is going to be since he didn't go up much from +6 to +9. I guess I'll know in about 30 minutes.

I hope you guys all had a great day! Mine included a nice long nap this afternoon between the +6 and +9 readings, so I call that a great day!

Hmmm, Zoozey's PMPS was lower than his +9. What does that mean? He spent the better part of the hour before his PMPS playing and chasing his brother and sister. I guess the cooler weather makes him perky.

Gratz on the numbers and the nice nap! I love naps...It stands to reason if the PMPS is lower than the +9 Mr P just might be starting to play along! The insulin should be wearing off later in the cycle, so if the numbers go down it could mean the pancreas is generating some insulin on its own. At least that's how I think it works. Looking good, Zoozey!

I'm hoping his pancreas is starting to produce that insulin on his own. My goal is for him to go OTJ! But whatever his pancreas is doing, it must be good for him. He's friskier and more playful than he was before he started losing weight, which was the symptom that led to his dx last January. Honestly, I'm just thrilled he's doing so well, and that he's clearly so happy. I love seeing him play so much every day, and I'm just so grateful he's still around. I'm just sorry that it took that terrible dka to get him on the path to being this way.

He's lucky to have such a wonderful Mamabean looking out for him! Give him extra hugs and scritches every day - who knows what tomorrow will bring? Glad he's feeling better!

Me too! That Sunday morning I took him to the emergency vet was so scary. I wasn't sure if he was ever going to come back home. But to see him now, sacked out on the couch next to blanket with a nice full tummy and all tired out from playing is a great thing. I feel a little bad because I'm about to wake him up so I can get a +2 reading.
