Looks like last night was bounce mode with a slow all night slide to a blue AMPS. Most likely a food bounce at +2, but time will tell. Vetty appointment for the U/S this afternoon. Because Zener is such a good boy at the vetty and so easy to handle, we do not have to fast him for sedation and we can take him just before his appointment for his belly shave and then the procedure, so he won't have to spend too long a time at the vetty. :smile:

@Roni & Moonie - thanks for all the love and hugs, our boy is one of a kind! We are a little anxious about it, but last time he did great for the U/S.

@Wendy & Neko - thanks for all the vines for today. It's hard to know if the Mighty Z will limit his outdoor time with the belly shave or not. Our temps are warming up today to seasonal norms, so we'll see!

@Barbara & Tuffy - thank you for all the good wishes, vines and snowflakes!

Hi guys .. wow zener, it sounds like you are the model patient at the vets! You should give lessons to certain cats like my civvie twix who not only thinks her carrier is a litterbox, but also foams like niagara falls from the mouth :shock: Good luck at the vet's, will be keeping you guys in our thoughts!

Morning guys, so glad to hear Zener is a good patient, would be nice if they were all that way? My civvie Sabrina is cat from hell. Hope all goes well at the vetty, paws crossed. have a great day!

Sending lots of positive vines and prayers all goes well with the U/S today. That really helps when they are as calm as Zener doing the shave belly and U/S. I think Zener deserves a treat from the Vet, only no sugar, Zener! :-D We'll be tuning in later for an update.

We are home and all is well. Zener's first act was to go outside for yard patrol, 36 degrees F and a bare belly! He has not decided on a sweater color yet, we have paws crossed it isn't yellow! Nothing on U/S made the vet go "uh oh". She wants to compare measurements and images with the one he had last year, but nothing seemed noticeable. They collected urine to do a C & S. He was super good, and the techs could hardly believe what a good boy he was. The vet who does the u/s will make her final report, meet with our regular vet and then our vet will call us with the details. So, it may be another day or two before we know anymore. Good news - things didn't look much different or anything eye popping.

He was very hungry when we got home but we didn't want him to eat too much as it was +10. So, we tried a can of the Friskies turkey & giblets, 5% carbs and low phosphorus. He ate it! :o He's done that before with new foods, ate a can or two, then it becomes poison. So time will tell. We have a MC option low in phosphorus so it would be good to have a LC one too.

Well done Zener. cat_pet_icon A good boy at the vet and eating new fuds (for now). Paws crossed the final results from the U/S will continue to show nothing. He's looking kind of flat yellow now....

Yay!!!! I'm glad Zener did so well today and everything looked good! Paws crossed, good results vines and prayers that the results show the same. Many hugs and scritches ....congrats again! mary and ollie

Glad Zener came through the U/S ok and nothing notable was found! Extra wonderful that Zener is so cooperative. Much easier on him if he's not stressed. Keep that tummy warm Zener! :-D Hope you have a great night.

So glad the U/S went well and Zener was a perfect patient! It all sounds very positive. Glad he liked the Friskies T&G. That's one Mags also likes. Did Zener do a poo patrol yet. or did I miss it?

Well, it's been a flat yellow day, so hum...

Thanks to all for stopping by with wishes and cheers for the mighty Z. His bare belly is very cute and a bit more cut up on the sides this time, perhaps to get good kidney views. Happy appy at PMPS and poo patrol was successful - in the outdoor sand box! :razz:
