Yes, with a reading of 430 an hour ago (and rising from 100 points 5 hours ago), you can go ahead and shoot.

You could try warming his ear by applying a sock filled with rice and warmed in the microwave. Sometimes you have to "milk" the ear after poking to make the blood drop larger.

Why do you think the Libre was not accurate?

Btw, since you have shot him, please take off the " Libre Failed, do I shoot? Help!" from the title? Thanks! :-)
 
With the libre it keeps 8 hour of readings but usually doesn’t show anything after the last manual reading. It would not have shown anything after my manual reading at 3am, but it did show it on the graph until 7am. So not sure, never happened before.

Hi Deb. I hope you can get manual readings later today. If Tiger likes the heat, try if he is laying down in the sun or by a radiator or heat vent, it works very well when their ears are nice and warm.
 
Vet changed the Libre sensor. I think it was faulty from the beginning as it gave so many errors. Numbers are much lower and are comparable to the manual reading by the vet. Interesting it wasn’t just my hubby having trouble getting blood, the vet had a hard time also. Made him feel better after this mornings failure.

I’m now wondering if his lethargic behavior yesterday was because he was at a low number. I’ll never know but he sure wasn’t himself.
