Looks like there is a bounce going on. Happy furry purry again today and snuggled in his kitty bed when I left. Only 3 p's this morning, with no poo or play. I'm sure I will get the poo when I get home and T thinks it is too cold for play. :lol: Those darn beans need to turn up the heat!

OT - DH and I have been working so hard to keep the ickiness away. Everyone is sick at both of our works with the flu and pneumonia so we have been drinking tons of airborne and tea, washing our hands like crazy, and keeping to ourselves. This morning we both woke up with a face full of congestion and coughs. Ugh. We both had the flu shot and I have had a pneumonia shot. Hopefully this is as bad as we will get but only time will tell.

On another note, I went to a new podiatrist yesterday about my Morton's Neuroma. The cortizone shot did nothing. I had two choices - surgery or alcohol injections. I chose door B and started on the alcohol injections. I have to go in every two weeks for 16 weeks and have an injection. They inject it right into the nerve and it will (hopefully) kill the nerve. Pretty much the same result as the surgery, only without all the recovery. Fingers crossed it works or else I will have to have surgery. I had surgery on the other foot 5 years ago to sever the nerve and haven't had any problems with it since, but it takes 6 months to get back to full activity with the surgery.

Sending healing vines to you and your DH. Bummer on the cold symptoms, especially when you were doing everything possible to avoid getting sick. Take care of yourselves, stay home (your colleagues will thank you), and give the best "cure" for a cold a try: a shot of ice-cold Aquavit (keep the bottle in the freezer). :smile:

Mr. T. Come back down a bit. No more bouncing, OK?

p.s. good luck with your foot treatment! Morton must have been the foot expert. Everything is named after him. "Morton toes" run :lol: in my family. I have them on both feet!

Ha ha :lol: YES, Aquavit has liquor in it!!! (it's about 40%!) It is a distilled beverage, like vodka, flavored with herbs and sometimes oils(lots of different combinations). When you go shopping, be sure to get one that is made in one of the Scandinavian countries. Here's an interesting article I found for you:

When Edward and I were in Stockholm for an academic conference we sampled many different flavors of Aquavit. And we had a healthy trip, despite being there in winter (cold and flu season) and continually shaking hands--in the European custom--with many, many colleagues.

Hi Melissa? I hope Tarragon clears bounce quickly. Good that you are taking some steps to lessen the effect of the flu bug because it's a nasty one this year. I hope the alcohol injections work and you don't have to have surgery on your foot.

I'm looking forward to seeing some lower #s from Mr. T. Now, Mr. T... You DO need to bring those #s down for your Momma Bean. Whadya say, huh?

Sending tons of positive thoughts, and healing vines for you. I hope that the shots work, and you start to feel better very soon.

I've had the flu on New Year's Eve. It wasn't fun, I tell you. I can't remember the last time I had it, but I don't want to get it again. Next year, I'll be getting the flu shot. Haven't had the need for one until now. Now, I be kicking self. :lol: Have a great day!

Skål! Aquavit certainly can't hurt! At least you won't feel it! I'd say it more than "contains" alcohol! :lol: :lol:

Hi Melissa, hope Mr. T breaks the bounce and you and DH stay healthy. Sending healing vines for the flu and cold virus to be gone. I remember when working we passed it all around to one another with working so close together. Good luck with on whichever treatment you try. I'd go for the 2nd option, too. That sounds very painful with the Morton's Neuroma. Interesting on the Aquavit and sounds good.
 
It looks like Tarragon came down from the bounce pretty quickly. Maybe he'll slide down and give you some blue soon. Good luck with the alcohol injections. I hope they work and you don't need the surgery.
 
Lookin' much better with that PMPS, T!!!

I hope you and DH are able to stay ahead of the ICK!!! Rest up and take care of yourselves!!
