Sunny's BG has been creeping up - but is not skyrocketing luckily.
He had a checkup last week and does need an extraction or two and a good cleaning (he hardly has any teeth left poor kid). He goes in tomorrow for his dental.
The vet informed me today that his bloodwork and urinalysis indicate stage 2 CKD and I'm wondering if someone could look at this labwork and let me know if you agree. The vet said she took his creatinine and UA specific gravity into account for this diagnosis. He had a lot of water on his food that morning -- and I wonder if that could have affected these numbers.
What can I do for this? I have been reviewing Tanya's page on CKD but there's a lot of info to go through. It looks like the main thing I can do at this stage is switch to low phosphorous food that's also low carb. Anything else I should do at this point?
Of course I just ordered the motherlode of fancy feast pate so that may have to go to the shelter.....
