Hi Kit :)
It's a joy to look at Miakn's SS. She's come such a long way. You're doing a marvellous job with her.
I also have a plumber coming in this afternoon. But knowing Fistuk he so doesn't give a F about anyone :woot::woot: He'll probably just stay asleep under the sink, cooking over his favourite spot on the floor heating.
Good plan you have to keep her safe.
Mikan, stay steady for your mum today.
Wishing you a wonderful day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good morning!

A decent start! I hope she will be steady today as we will have some people working in the house later. Mikan will hide and I won't be able to feed her. If she shows a sign of a rapid decline, I'll preemptively feed her higher carbs.

Wishing you a lovely day!
Hi Kit, good luck today with the workers in the house. I hope Mikan and your other kitties aren’t too freaked.
Ivy hates strangers in the house working and making noise. She just hides. Sounds like Mikan’s agenda.
Safe surfing pretty girl!! Have a mellow day, Kit! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Shelly!
Isn't it funny that some cats could care less who's in the house! Not Mikan! She doesn't like strangers.
She has a few cozy hiding places that she feels comfortable. As long as her BGs are in a good range, I'm totally good with that!
I'll probably try to feed her just before they come, just in case.
Have a nice, lovely day, Shelly! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci!
Mikan doesn't do well with strangers, particularly if they make noise :nailbiting:
She particularly dislikes men with loud voice, and really, I don't blame her :p
Hopefully, it'll only be a few hours and she can relax afterwards. I just have to make sure that she doesn't go too low.
Hope you and Ivy have a great day too! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Morning Kit and Mikan aka(Mimi :p)
I can't stand when we have to have people working in our houses , I feel so bad when our kitties hide, Tyler hides too.
I hope Mikan has a nice steady day today .:bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
Hi Diane!
My Mimi (:p) is a shy girl and does not like strangers. Once she gets used to a person, though it's entirely different.
She flops on the chair, wiggles around, demanding belly rubs.
She also likes to raise her hind legs and wants to get rubbed behind her thigh - I thought dogs were like that :smuggrin::smuggrin:
Hope you and Boo Boo (:p:p:p) have a great day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Kit is also not a fan of strangers in the apartment (and honestly sometimes not a fan of us in the apartment. For instance on days like today when I make her take gabapentin for a vet visit.) She usually hides, but last week when maintenance stopped by to see what the problem with my oven might be, she didn't run and hide. She was already in her carrier, but usually she would race to the bedroom and hide under the bed. So progress? They weren't loud, so that might have helped. I hope she stays steady for you so you don't have to worry while there are interlopers.

Good meowning Kit and Mikan
Hope she stays steady for you while the workers are there and doesn't hide either. Nestle is such an attention wh@r3 that anytime we have anyone come into the apartment he's all about them. We had our super and a plumber fixing our toilet the other week and Nestle was looking for pets and grabbing the super's hand to keep petting him. Peanut on the other hand is a little scared cat. He usually runs away when strangers come in. He was doing an army crawl across the apartment to get from one room to the other. My silly boys.

Anyways hope all goes well for you and Mikan surfs safely today.

It's funny how shy cats respond favorably to some strangers.
My theory is that those are cat people - either have or had one or more, and are fond of cats. Maybe they can tell.
Alternatively, they have a bad taste in men and randomly go for total strangers. :p
Good luck with the vet visit. Hope she stays mellow (or mellower)

:joyful::joyful::joyful: That's too funny!
Nestle is a super-friendly soul! Give him a pet for me
Funny how brothers are so different.
I gave her some food and she should be okay for the cycle, but always having strangers in the house makes me nervous :nailbiting:
Wishing you a lovely day, Karolina! :bighug:

That is so true! Bella is usually too curious to stay away when people come to the house, but sometimes she gets very friendly. She aboslutely loved the plumber who came a few weeks ago, I was almost jealous :p But she hates it when they make noise.

Hahaha, we cross posted, Cecile!
She loved your plumber! How funny!
Some girls go for a strong man, you know :p Or, quite possibly, the plumber is a cat person ;)
I can just picture how she would hang out around the plumber wanting to get petted ~ :joyful::joyful::joyful: Thanks for the good laugh. I needed it!

Thanks Shelly!

The maintenance guys just left, and I can tell she is still drugged out of her gourd because she sat in the living room and would occasionally glance at them, but otherwise gave zero, uh, hecks about the interlopers.

Ohhh, poor thing. It'll take some time for the drug to get out of her system.
Hope you got your hot shower and now are relaxing! You deserve a big (BIG, I mean it) glass of wine.

It felt so good to shower! I'm holding off on the wine, because someone just had a green PMPS, and it's been so long I have no idea what she's going to do with that on this higher dose.
