1/16 Maverick AMPS 77 PMPS 110

Maverick had very little appetite through the night eating no more than 3oz of turkey and giblet even with chicken dust liberally applied. I didn't pick up his food at +9 because of how little he had eaten. Added more chicken dust and he ate a bite or two. Then at +10 just a bite or two. So at +11 I picked up his food.

He ate an ounce of ocean whitefish this morning after AMPS.

DH is SNARKYEEEE this morning. Hoowaa. I'm leaving the house. I left my iphone downstairs when I went to give Maverick his injection and the iphone alarm went off while he was trying to sleep downstairs (after getting out of bed 1/2 hour earlier). So I'll go shopping - always makes me feel better .

Good morning! I wish I could give Maverick some of Chaos's appetite. He's an eater.

Good plan for dealing with snarky DH. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping! I'm hoping my own DH sleeps in for quite a while; he was not exactly Mr. Energetic after work last night and has a tendency toward grumpy mornings after nights like that.

Shopping always makes me feel better, too. Hope Maverick gets his appetite back as it's always a worry when they won't eat. Buy yourself something nice today or treat yourself to a bite out somewhere. Food always helps, too.

You guys crack me up. Thanks for empathizing. I'm back. Tested Maverick at +2.5 and he's at 75.
OMG if DH was a shopper I'd be in soooo much trouble.

I get home after shopping to find out why he was snarking up a storm. He's got an infected tooth and his face is now swelling. He didn't tell me cause he knew I'd call the dentist on the dentist day off and he wanted to wait until tomorrow. Um. Not the way it works. So I called the dentist LOL. He's got a new prescription called in which I'm off to buy now.

Can't wait to get back and visit condos and say hi to everyone. (I think I'll be hiding out in the bedroom though)

Maverick is looking so good today but sorry your DH is not feeling great. Tooth problems are so painful! I hope Maverick eats better for you today.

Maverick is doing really well numbers wise today. But he didn't eat enough last night or this morning. Not sure of the impact of this on numbers? He's also not really purring much at all. Even with effort to get him purring he won't. I'm concerned about this but maybe he's just resentful of all the ear pokes lately. Not really hanging out with us as much either though.

I was thinking this morning actually that his asthma is still controlled - no flareups in at least a few months. The 250mcg of flovent twice a day is really working for him. Wish the slight nasal congestion would go away though. I don't think this is asthma related.

I think his nadir has changed on me. And quite quickly. So I'm going to have to get numbers from +3 to +7. Would not eating impact nadir time or is that thinking too granular?

DH is sleeping. His face is really swelling up :sad: . Ugh. I feel bad for him. He won't take pain pills any stronger than extra strength tylenol and ibuprofin even though the dentist wanted to prescribe pain meds for him.

Glad you got out some but sorry to hear about your dh and the infected tooth. That has to hurt! Great numbers for Mannie. Yes, that's the bad side about our weather with the possibility of an earthquake. You should still come for a visit - so much to see and do.

Shopping is one of the world's best therapies, enjoy it and leave grumpy DH behind.

Now this is a wonderful start Maverick but how about eating a bit more for your Bean?

Aww, poor DH! I know what you're dealing with. Last year my DH came down with a dental infection a week after I "got spayed". I ended up taking care of him, and he ate my painkillers! Like you, I don't play around with that stuff, so I called the dentist at home at 7 PM on new year's eve to get him some AB's. No wonder our DH's don't like to tell us when something's wrong!

C'mon, Mav, eat some for your bean, huh? She's worried about you and would feel better about your good numbers if you'd just eat!

You got spayed and ended up taking care of him. Love it. When DH gets a cold or a flu he is dying but when it really is something serious he doesn't want to bother the professionals. ohmygod_smile

I've made sure to keep my iphone with me where ever I went in the house today. Don't want to come downstairs and find it in a fishtank. Yah - love that the stupid alarm went off this morning when it was supposed to.

Maverick's appetite is still in the toilet. I think I'm going to just go back to letting him eat when he wants to. This makes me nervous. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Maybe the free feeding idea is the best. Maverick may be trying to tell you something! Rusty free feeds, too, and I try to make sure there is always something in his dish. He rarely eats everything in his dish at once, so he doles it out himself.
Maverick may just be having an off day today. Tomorrow will be better.
Hope that DH's tooth can be dealt with soon. Poor guy is in pain. Offer him some whisky!
