It was another exciting day in the life of Johnny Cat. He helped take the Christmas tree down (yes, you read that right!) and put away ornaments. He received a new chair fort. He played with civvie Fritz. He looked out the window and watched some snow fall. And he was 91 at PMPS! Wow. We'll be doing frequent tests tonight, for sure! Would a +1 and on be the smart way to go? We shot the 0.5u. :mrgreen: nailbite_smile

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but we have ONE testing strip left. Miscommunication duly noted on our end. I had opened the most recent container and didn't realize it was our last, and Brian knew the current was low, but not that the back up had been opened. He's off school tomorrow, so can get some first thing in the a.m.

The question is: do we save the test for tomorrow a.m.? Does Johnny seem stable enough? Should we feed a little just-in-case higher carb? (yes, we are responsible enough to have this on hand).

I wish I were next door, I'd lend you some!

He hasn't been going terribly low. In your shoes, I might test again tonight, and ask BRIAN to get up super early to get more. (Brian's not listening, right? :lol: ) But higher carb food does wear off. that's an option too.

Thanks for the feedback, Kathy! It was very helpful. Brian said he'd go tomorrow (I didn't tell him it was your idea!) a.m. before AMPS! He has to head to Wal-mart outside the city, but there shouldn't be much traffic with the holiday (that I still have to work on...).

Last strip says that Johnny is 74 and we feel better about heading to bed. Thanks again!
