Yesterday's Condo

It's a very quiet morning here. Gabby is keeping one eye on the hallway. When I went to bring her to the kitchen for the second part of her breakfast, she was very busy bathing and she completely ignored me. The message was clearly, "I'm busy." However, once in front of her bowl, she inhaled her food. Gizmo has been walking away from his food unless I put chicken dust on it and Gabby has since taken up the same stance. She was never interested in chicken dust. Gizmo, on the other hand, LOVES the stuff. I guess he convinced Gabby that it's good stuff or she decided that Gizmo will not get treats if she doesn't (which only seems fair since he also gets a treat when she gets tested).

I have to give Lu (my civie) a treat when Chaos gets tested or he gets all bent out of shape, too! Lu cares about treats a good deal more than Chaos, so the deal works out nicely for Lu! :lol:

Funny how they figure that stuff out. Who get what treat and tests etc. MudCat is not a treat girl, but when test time comes I have to put her plate out on the table.

Sometimes my cats just look up at me when I put their food bowls down in front of them, like "where's the topping, please?" and other times they are just too hungry or something, and just get down to chowing down. Silly cats.
I do notice my supply of freeze dried food is dissappearing a lot quicker these days. I think we need to start looking into food dehydration machines :smile: for our cats.

I wanted to thank you, Sienne, for your suggestion about distracting Smudge with play/affection. I've started employing that tactic with her (more cuddling than playing...as she gets aggressive when playing)...and it seems to be helping. appreciate the input!

Gabby was at 305 at +8. She did good by pulling her numbers down.

So sad for Lorna & Girlcat. Fly free little one.

Nooooooooo, Oh poor Lorna.

I too have a civvie that expects treats when Checks gets tested. He comes running when he hears the lid snap on the strips.

Things can suddenly be so delicious if your sibling is getting them. I'm glad to hear she is still dependably watching the hallway!
