Hi Ella no hikes planned today took a nice walk yesterday and hope to hike again this week some depending on weather....
we are maybe going to the movies this afternoon to see the new version of "True Grit"

Just stopping in to see how things are in Do Lou land..glad to see the sunny yellows, hopefully blue later on? Come on, DL, you can do it!

I hope you do go see the movie- DH and I plan on it soon, we've heard it's awesome.

Well I like the original True Grit with John Wayne better but the new True Grit is very very good worth seeing if any of you get the chance

any I know meters can have varience but I checked my +2 freestyle of 192 against the relion micro tongiht and the relion was 329 :shock: I was using the relion again( its my bk up meter) about 5 weeks ago until my freestyle strips came back in and OMG what a diff I know comparing meters can drive us crazy but thats one hell of a diff and yes I checked the control on both and both seem ok I have used my freestyle for almost the entire time DL has had FD but have like 5 meters and compare from time to time so I think what really bothers me is could this meter be reading too low so in reality I am under dosing him??? Ok the Bean is thinking too much i guess

When I was worried about my meter it was suggested to test my own BG. It was a very normal number. So might be worth a shot to see what you are on both meters (unless you are diabetic). I think the recalled strips were reading too low, not too high. I'd double check.

Is DL still liking the ball toy. I loved watching him play with it.

No I am not using the recalled strips my freestyle is not part of the recall its just frustrating whenever I compare unless its when he is really low the meters are always so darn different sigh.... yeah I am driving myself crazy by thinking way to much I guess and no actually Karrie he has not touched the spinball since then he did play a lot with a little spring toy yesterday :razz:

Ok I tried the meter experiment Karrie I was 115 on the relion micro and 100 on freestyle I then went to get DL's +3 he was 290 on relion micro and 200 on freestyle this was not as big a diff as earlier anyway when it was 329 vs 192 I just worry if the freestyle is reading low then he could be on the wrong dose just not sure what meter to trust?? sigh.......

I look at it this way. Which is safer? Getting a false low or a false high? It's safer for DL if you get a low and he's higher. If the Relion is reading high, and DL is really low, he could be in trouble.

yeah that is very true Sienne did not think of it like that guess I will stick to the freestyle which is what he has been on again since the strips arrived and keep relion as bk up which is what we had been doing except for when I ran out strips recently
