Hiya folks...
Baby is gravy I guess.. we had 2 Lantus pens shipped to us.. but since we are using I seem to get Bubbles & Ella's tricks of the trade are not working.... I dunno.. I'm gonna get a new pen tomorrow bcuz I think the cold weather or something has caused these pens to not be the best..

I was a bad mom in your eyes.. a good mom in Baby's eyes.. I had some treats for Sadi.. Greenies Chicken flavor.. carb city I think.. anyway.. Baby was going WiLd for them.. I gave her 2... her #s might be a bit off while it clears her system... but what good is life without some treats? ;-)

quality of life counts...and treats are quality!

may not help...but i ALWAYS have bubbles in my pens...i don't even try to remove them...it's never seemed to hurt with the grey brat boy...

Never used a pen. The cartridges I have are just the 3ml cartridges with no pen. I used Ella's trick the last couple days and its working great. Just twisting seems to move most bubbles to the top, sometimes even the one that stubbornly sticks to the plunger. Drawing the plunger further back than I was is helping a lot. Thanks Ella.

Baby your avatar picture is so awesome. Bet Baby loved them greenies treats :)
 
I use Ella's trick too Nicole and also still get bubbles I have been having soo much bubble trouble with this pack of pens very frustrating I have wasted quite a bit of lantus down the sink trying to rid the syringe of bubbles but nice +4 for Baby today
 
Wow.. Lisa.. good to hear.. I mean not good because I dont want you to have bubbles.. but when Baby was on Lantus last.. the entire 4 months.. I never had 1 bubble.. all the sudden in the past week all I have are bubbles.. new pens, same syringes, same method.. then trying what works for others is not working here.. glad to know it is just not me.. best of luck to us both ;-)

yeah I have had more issues with this pack of pens that I have now more then any others in the past maybe somehow something has changed in how they are made or could just be us :lol: but its so irritating when you have this giant bubble right in your way and you know it hurts the dose if you cannot get rid of it
 
i agree, lisa...this new box of pens were when i started having trouble with bubbles in the syringes...
go Baby, go...girl, you are looking very good!
 
nice numbers for Baby - love that +4. SWEET!

and it's the same here with the pens and the bubbles and the wasted insulin. First box was great - this new one is awful. Makes one wonder about quality control. well anyways - I struggle too.
 
Wow.. it must be the Quality Control of the Pens.. because for us all to be having this issue & nothing has changed about our methods or syringes.. :YMSIGH:
O well.. nothing we can do but hope they get it straightened out.. glad I spoke up before getting another new pen! Thank you!
 
hey nicole i always have bubble trouble since i started the lev pen. i make up for it by putting a bit more lev to accomodate the bubble. is that wrong? is that sort of thing frowned upon? :lol:
 
:lol: hmmmm, Lori.. not sure if it is frowned upon but truth be told..... I have often thought of doing that myself.. but then I would end up really confused!
