Yesterday's Condo.
Will be interesting to see how today goes. In the past, Willie has shown the stress of car rides, vet visits, etc. in the cycle or two after the actual event while the cycle of the event is rather flat. Our PM cycle looks to have been pretty flat last night, so I will not be surprised to see red numbers today for that reason, though I am hopeful that maybe the bach flower remedy was a calming enough influence that we will see things get back to normal more quickly.
Am being so careful with new insulin... I even have it in a bubble wrap sleeve in the fridge! LOL
I'm also hopeful that the inflammation/sensitivity around the stomach/liver/pancreas noted by the vet last night may be more stomach irritation. With the skin stuff going on, Willie has been grooming ALOT, particularly over the past few days, and the result has been daily hairball pukes. I've made a couple diet changes thus far as I wait for the supplies for Dr. Lisa's diet to arrive... we have started Feline Friskies and we have replaced the salmon oil in his diet. Maybe I"m just seeing what I want to see, but I'm starting to see positive changes after only a few days. First, his hair seems to be growing back faster in the regrowth areas. Second, I'm noticing that with the current affected areas, the scabs are starting to come off more quickly, with no angry skin underneath. I am holding my breath that these positive changes will continue.
Going to try to give the Wee Dub lots of loves today. He is increasingly tired of being poked, prodded, etc.and is letting that be known. I need to make sure he knows that every time I touch him, it isn't to do something he doesn't like. I see many cuddles in our future.... starting now!
Have a great Saturday, Lantus Land!
