Good morning World! Welcome to our SUNNY home! Yesterday

DAKOTA
AMPS 336

I sure like Doc dressed in pink at AMPS rather than red or black but Yellow and Blue match him so much better. He was very snuggly last night, came and slept beside me most of the night which is unusual. He usually sleeps at the foot of the bed. All P's are in place altho' the 'play' was after lights out last night consisting of sitting under the table in the hallway and jumping out at Snow and Bebo. That usually starts a running wrestle that I have to get up and stop before someone gets slapped too hard. He's gone btb already.

Honking doggies are still coughing but so far, it's still just confined to 2 of them - fingers still crossed! Sassy's cough didn't progress so she hasn't caught it. She's loving that she gets Mama/Papa all to herself more often right now altho Penny is very upset about it. Sassy likes to be a prima dona altho' she doesn't insist on it. Penny has finished her meds, Sasha still has 2 more days altho' both are still getting benadryl for throat swelling. Coughing is lessening. Darla drooler isn't eating well but I think it's just nearing her heat cycle, she's not coughing or showing any other signs of not feeling well. Ginny is her normal sweet self showing no signs either. Knocking on lots of wood it will stay this way!!!

Visited Dad for quite a while yesterday morning - his brain was working WONDERFULLY! He was remembering things and even initiating new topics. That's been a rare occurrence the last few months - Parkinson's and Alzheimer's takes away SO much. He even remembered close to how old he is (85). A couple of weeks ago he was '55' - mother reminded him that was impossible as his oldest child just turned 61. Yesterday was Mother's birthday - she buys cards for the occasion and leaves them with the nurses so he can 'give' them to her. He actually signed this one legible - well, looked like a first grader but the Christmas card was just a shaky scribble. Not only did he write his name, he wrote 'I love you' too. That made Mother's heart soar! He even remembered that he didn't buy the card but nurses and Mother danced around that well.

Thoughts and prayers continue today for Laura and Skinky as they still struggle as well as Mary losing Smudge yesterday.

HUGS to all that visit today - DANCE with us in the SUNSHINE!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

What a happy condo! Yay for improving droolers and big YAY for how well you DF is doing! I'm so happy for your DM that she got that "gift" from him. I'm sure it is something she will treasure for a long time.

Now, Dakota, you need to come back down out of the pink zone. Didn't you enjoy yourself in the yellows the other day? How about a repeat performance?

I hope your DH is doing better, and you get sunshine all day, inside and outside! :)

What a difference sunshine makes. So glad that the droolers' coughing is subsiding.
How wonderful that your dad had a really good day and that your mom's heart was gladdened!
Sending more vines to the whole household so that no one else gets sick and that all the fuzzies will be in tip top shape again soon.
Doc, time to come down now!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

What a great fur gang report Lyresa- and I am really glad to hear your Dad had a good day!! You want to frame those kind of moments, when the Parkinson's and Dementia don't cloud the issues! That was so special that he could address the card to your mom- better save that one for the scrapbook!

C'mon now Doc, work that juice!

What a special day for your Mom and Dad!! The last 3 years of my dad's life we dealt with rapidly progressing alzheimers, so I really understand how special those times when they're lucid can be! A few days before dad died, he actually knew who I was and for the first time in my life, said he was proud of me. (seriously...he could never express emotions other than anger) It's one of the most special memories I have of him

Great news on the droolers too! Hopefully soon all the nasty bugs will be gone and you can just enjoy the sunshine!

Now Doc...so much good news....why don't you join the crowd and let's see some awesome numbers soon!
