Whoops I think I forgot to shoot this morning, there is a lot going on. So just to make sure I don't shoot twice, I'm calling this a skip. It's already almost 2 hours later I just figured this out. I guess we'll know from his numbers huh.

The simple fort is a success. He's very happy to have his own special space. Sometimes he gets little bits of kibble as treats inside in different places -- has to crawl around to get them. Sometimes the kibble is in a little special treat ball that dispenses when he bats it around. He's been up there hiding much of the evening and he was not as crabby about going through the medicine routine.

The first incarnation of the fort is very simple: a small ladder, a chair, and a throw (small blanket). I'm going to add a cardboard box and a few other "baffles." Photos are coming!

In any event, it has cheered him up so much. Both the fort AND getting a bit of kibble. He played happily tonight. His mood is much improved!
