1/14 Herman 63 (1 week otj)

Wow, he’s liking this OTJ thing! :joyful:

I find it interesting that he’s ok with lower numbers that occur naturally but was angry and feisty when they occurred due to exogenous insulin (especially since there didn’t appear to be any rapid or major BG drops). I guess there’s nothing like the body’s natural abilities.

Love to see Herman back to surveying his domain and lording over the property. Go Herman!

Ok, I have to share this (I’m not one for posting jokes online, but my first thought was of Herman’s arena visits, lol).

That’s so funny! Yes our arena has many Herman surprises in there!
It is interesting about these new lows not making him crazy aggressive (let’s face it, he’s rarely a little ray of sunshine, he’s got opinions, @Angela & Cleo can relate I think!). It’s of note though, that even on insulin he didn’t always show the major aggression when low. But there were about 4 times where the aggression was extreme, and most of those times he was low (sometimes I couldn’t test to confirm but his numbers after hc indicated that he probably had gone low). There is of course meter variance so maybe those times were lower than tested…but for whatever reasons, there were certain instances where the lower range upset Herman. And he made sure I knew it! Which I’m actually grateful for.
