Morning LL
It's a beautiful, sunny clean air day here...

But my heart is heavy and sending hugs and gentle vines to @Bron and Sheba as they cherish their time together..

AMBG 76:D
Gussie has chosen not to eat, keeping up his cycling on and off eating despite meds..
He is still on his cocktail of Zofran, cypro, Bupe T..
He is still very uncomfortable in his abdomen and sleeping currently. I am hoping he will perk up and eat soon..but leaving it up to him..
Now we wait to get the untrasound done..

Surf safely LL kitties, give them all a special scritch for me:bighug::bighug:

We are all awaiting for the ultrasound. Murphy got a mild sedative when he had his, and came out shaved, high and starving like I've never seen him before -hopefully, Gussie's experience won't be so bad
Poor boy
I saw your question about taurine - I buy the Now brand - Murphy needs it because he is taking ursodiol.
Come on, Gussie, feel better
I will say that when I have to give Murphy cypro a 2-3 days in a row, it seems to lose it's effectiveness

Thanks for the heads up Carol:bighug:
How much taurine do you add for Murphy? That is the brand I ordered.:)

So far he's not eating today..will give a bit more cypro in a bit, he only got a tiny dose this morning..only a little runny poop today.
Thanks guys

Les, am back home from the shop and sending more bushelsful of love hugs and vines for you and Gussie. Appy vines too please Gussie. Hold on and hang in there..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've put a message in to the vet to see if I can get him in...he's in obvious pain that Bupe is not cutting..will keep you updated later when I know anything
:bighug: All..

I swear this cat has a sixth sense..make a call to the vet right? Now he waltzes in back out of hiding, I swear gives me a dirty look and..is eating...
Little does he know he is still headed to the vet if they can get him in

Les I am sorry you are still having problems with Gussie's eating :(
I think it is a good idea to have the ultrasound to see what..if anything...is going on...then you will know one way or the other if there is something stopping him getting back to eating normally.
:bighug::bighug:

Hi at vet, doing X-ray but he did not feel any constipation or large mass when palpated belly. Phone dying too sorry. Ultrasound still on for tues.
Will try some acupuncture and addheo remedies to try to help w. pain.
Waiting on X-rays results now

Hugs to you :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you for coming by:bighug::bighug:

Sorry about the vet visit, Les. Sometimes you have to drive through brick walls just to find out if it's the right brick wall or not. Gussie has never played by the rules or the walls. It's his thing. Have a good snuggle (Gussie willing), rest, and go from there.

For the sentiment and for the reminder about my guy:bighug:
Ok here's the latest on Gussie
Went to the vet, full palpitation of abdominal region and whole cat. Vet did not feel anything in his colon or abdomen in the way of blockage or impacted area, or obvious mass..off to X-ray

Those came back verifying what the vet felt, no blockage, no poop stuck anywhere, the food he ate right before we left showed in his stomach and some gas in his abdomen. No visible masses, something that might have been stomach that was a tad hard to id, basically nothing visible that could or should be causing this pain which leads us back to the triad of pancreas, bowel and liver..
We are changing the Zenequin out for metronidazole tiny tabs to help in case it is colitis like Jett just had. He said it could help his pancreas too. He ruled pred out because of the diabetes.

He had an acupuncture treatment which he was golden for, and got 150ml fluids before we were out the door.
Added to his regimen for pain is CBD concentrate which is cannibus without the high inducing THC..
He did not have a fever, all vitals were good..
He had only lost 2 oz if I remember correctly from his last visit..that means I am getting him to eat enough calories I think..
He came home left the carrier and ate! ( my vet is a master at using accupuncture for appy, he got my GA Jett eating with one treatment, kicking myself I let Gus go this long without getting it for him..)
I had to make it to Costco after the vet ( dropped him home first of course) to pick up his Zofran so apologize in how late I'm getting this up..

He ate a little tonite and is resting.
Attaching a picture during acupuncture

Thank you all for hanging in there with my old man and I, going to dig up some supper next..then check in with you all

And hope you both get some sleep too, Les!
Wow what a day. Nice that Gussie's acupuncture followed the x-ray stuff! Sweet present/treat for him;):bighug:;)
and the energy emanating for you too I hope.
Bo loved acupuncture and reiki, too.

Skol og sov godt!!!!

I know it's frustrating not to get any answers, but it's good the xrays didn't show anything. I'm glad he's maintaining his weight and the acupuncture helped his appy. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
