Good Morning LL!! (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug, aka PawPrints Pizza, are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! Anybody up for a cherry pizza? :shock: so. well. anyways. Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! We gots CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE too! as well as cheery cherry frappes! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. It was an OK one here, really didn't do too much, watched some football for a bit. Other than that, not much on the day here... I spent most of it at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to what was a rather laid back weekend, a general relaxation recovery time from a busy week with the boys, Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the late morning/early afternoon. I went to the shore early, once the monsoon has stopped, and just took my time getting there,and back. Explored the woods and the shore alot. With all the rains alot of the fungi, lichens and mosses were in fine form. It was kinda fun to go a-hunting for cool things. I spent most of the late morning/early afternoon there. Got home before round two of the rains started. All in all, a decent afternoon at Meadowdale.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille! What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Bug continues to maneuver Lola into runs and romps. She is quite capable of starting them on her own, but I find it ever so amusing to watch him coerce her into chasing him. Not such an innocent bystander that Mr Bug: Shadow Paw continues to be Shadow Paw. I vacuumed yesterday - always such an issue here. :lol: :lol: Elsa hates the vacuum monster, and will run and hide. Bug isn't so sure either. I often will see him watching it from afar, peeking around the corner, and will also hide if it gets to close. Lola still continues to follow it around, whenever I go. She has no fear, no surprise huh! It was a good day for the kitties, one can safely say: YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille

This was taken yesterday, and is included in the link for the Musketeers.... After a while Lola had had enough of my video efforts, and I made the mistake of doing one last closeup. She let me know what she thought of that. Notice the claw embedded in my hand at the end. Eventually she made the "eat the camera" move..... OUCH! :lol: :lol: :lol: She was so done with her bean!

Have a great day everyone! I have an early appt for an annual checkup, DR, but after that I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. If the weather clears some I may go hiking.

Such a cute video of Lola, but ouch on your hand. I love hearing about Bug coercing Lola. I'm glad you made it out for a while in between rains.

Love the video, and Lola expressing her opinion about it! Such personality. I hope that scratch wasn't too deep! So funny that she follows the vacuum...what a cat!

Those are great pics of the kitties. Lola's video is a riot: she gets more and more riled up! Nice spot she has to sit on!!! I love the pics of Elsa. And Bug, too.
I'm glad you got out to Meadowdale yesterday, even if just for a short time between rainstorms. Lovely pictures.

So what's on the agenda for today besides the annual physical? I hope you get to do something fun!!

Ah, I can't watch the video from work :sad: I'll have to check it out later. It's so funny that so many kitties hate the vacuum, but Lola doesn't :lol: Chyna used to jump to the highest spot she could find and hide behind the curtain or whatever she could. Now she crouches and looks annoyed. Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend! I hope your Monday is going well.

Hi everyone. I hope your day has been a good one. I did decide to go hiking. The weather looked doable, so I headed on out after my DR appt, which btw went fine. All is well! I am beat though, so forgive me if I don't get to condos tonight. I hope your kitties have been good kitties. Mine were good while I was gone - only one mess: magazines scattered on the floor.... and Lola... and Bug. I know he helped on on that one. Anyways - I went up to Bellingham to hike the Chuckanut Ridge Trail, after the DR stuff. Rainy drive all the way up there kept me hoping that the weather dudes were right, and that it was rainless in the Chuckanuts. Sure 'nuf: that stopped about 4 miles south of the trail head. YaHOO! And for once the TH was easy to find. The trails themselves however were a whole different matter. Not well marked at all, and there are more than are on the map, so what to choose? LOL: I guessed alot. Figured ridge meant up, so we took the ones that headed up. I did run into a runner about a mile in who confirmed my guesses were OK. sheshhhh..... anyways, it was a nice hike, I enjoyed it. Topside was clouded over, so not too much in the way of views. One can tell though that it would be really nice on a cloudless day. It was cold up there, and those winds! I read somewhere that they were to be in the 19/20 range. I believe it, it was really gusty up there. well no matter, the hike was great, nice challenging trail in some parts, easy in others. I never did make the lake. It was farther than my map said and to do that would have added at least another 3 hours to the day. With pending rains I elected to retrace, revisit the ridge, and then head home. Even with that it was about 9.5 miles, climbed just under 1900 feet, and drove home with a gorgeous sunset. Not too bad. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrows condo.

Hi Carla - LOl, and yes on the hand. Silly cat! but all is well. ;-) Oh yes on Bug, not as innocent as we all thought. :lol: :lol:

Hi Amy - THX on the vid, and she is very good at letting me know how she feels about whatever it is. :lol: No, the scratch wasn't bad - she had a hold, but I have gotten very good at being able to maneuver the hand so she doesn't scratch, just releases. all is well. Love the vacuum with her - too funny!

Hi Ella - THX on the kitty pics - I figured we were over due, so took some. They were good subjects for once too. I know on Lola, she does just that: gets very riled up, and the action just builds. :lol: I know... she loves to sit on the copier! :shock: :lol: THX too on yesterday - it was great to get out. It rained so hard on saturday I really couldn't so much. YES on today! I did go on a hike, and had a great time. Weatehr was so so, but the hike was still nice.

Hi Chris - RIGHT YOU ARE! and so she told me, in no uncertain terms! :lol: :lol: THX too on the pics, and yes on today. Went on a "for real" hike, had a great time!

Hi Rachel - well darn on the no vids at work! Well I hope you like it when you d get to see it. Lola is funny with that vacuum, it does not scare her. She just keeps watching what it does, sometimes she will walk up to it and play with the cord. :shock: :roll: Too funny on Chyna. That sounds like what my BJ used to do. THX on today - it was a great time.
