Jack is still being stubborn about the last increase and not wanting to come down from the rafters. Another dosecrease threat is on the table for tonight... Are you listening my furry friend?
He got a little supervised outside time yesterday, even with his weakening back legs, he scooted pretty quick for an old man when he saw a lizard. He's still got some spunk in him when something is interesting enough. Normally these days he only moves that quick for food
Made some more progress on getting some info on handling the drug trial. It looks like I can handle the shipping to the RVC, now I just need to find out some of the details on how it needs to be packaged and labeled. Lots of info that is close, but not quite what I'm looking for... Reading some of these guidelines makes my head hurt. Part of me is saying just ship it like normal and hope it gets lost among all the other packages.
Hope all the kitties and beans are doing good, more vines for Les and Gussie's rough day yesterday. Hope today is a good Gussie day.
What a nice surprise for Capt. Jack! He deserves a little lizard chasing but no eating them buddy Funny story, I'm not a fan of lizzards..go figure. One got in our last house that was the size of an iguana and Moo managed to catch it with 1/2 dangling out of her mouth. Needless to say thank goodness for DH because I was on the back of the couch scared to death
Ok, diverted there. Can only imagine you head hurting from coordinating all the moving parts for the trial. It's tough to pick up the phone and call out there too. To the beach for you Jack, work that juice buddy.
After the vet kind of dropped the ball a bit, I've been taking charge a bit more. It was like a game of telephone between the vet, RVC and myself. I decided to go straight to the source. Encouraging that it is possible, now just trying to navigate the red tape to make sure the samples don't get rejected at the UK border.
Jack has never eaten a lizard, he used to love to eat flying bugs(weird cat), but lizards were just toys that moved. I used to try to get him to give up before he stressed them out and they died. You could tell when they were done being chased and just gave up. I don't know how much Jack would like a godzilla lizard though, ours here are much smaller.
How fun that he got to chase a lizard. We have salamanders here, but we don't see them very often. Neko used to like to eat flying bugs too. Big brown moths are expecially crunchy. I once saw a program on surviving in the woods that said they are a good source of protein. Err, no thanks.
Sorry about the hole in the wall where you are hitting your head. I tried sending some of Neko's syringes to someone in the US and gave up. Mail/courier companies - "I don't know, try customs". Customs - "I don't know, try the consolate. Consolate - I don't know, try border services. Border services - "our lines are all busy, check the website". Nothing on the website, but they did have an email request form. "Due to high volumes, it may take 2-3 weeks to get a response". When I got the IGF-1/IAA tests done, blood had to go across the border. Part of the reason I let a vet specialty lab do it for me - they knew the paperwork that I did not.
I hope Jack starts working the juice and comes back down. Nice that Jack got some outside time and got to chase the lizard. Good luck figuring out the shipping.
Jack is still being a lazy city worker and not heeding the beans call to work the juice a little bit. Looks like another increase tonight to work on getting him into some better numbers.
He gets supervised outside time when I am out in the garage or yard. He is really good about not wandering off and with a little coaxing he will walk back inside on his own. I mainly keep an eye on him because he thinks every plant is edible and then I end up with an icky puddle in the house somewhere after his palette is "cleansed" . He definitely enjoys it so I try to make time to get him out there even if I am busy with stuff.
