Happy Friday Lantus Land. Sending out healing thoughts and prayers to Zener, Anne, Jetta, Rocket, Tracy, Scruffy, Lyresa and her DH, and any others who need them.

Gracie gets one more cycle at this dose and back up she goes. In looking at her SS, I am wondering if what I am seeing is too much insulin because her highest numbers are mid-cycle. In our condo the other night, Jill suggested we take her up to the last good dose which was f1u but because Gracie hasn't done well before with small increases, I gave her a larger one. I shoulda listened! Unfortunately, for a situation like this, the best thing to do is go up and let her break through again so if nothing happens tonight....she gets a dosecrease which I hope will get her started again. Hear that baby girl?

Note to Newbies: if you think your kitty might be getting too much insulin, please post and ask for help. We have lots of data on Gracie and this isn't the first time she's done this and we know how to handle her numbers when she breaks through.

Come on Gracie, clear this bounce. Threats are being made! I know, it seem that Tess needs a bigger up and just a nudge down when adjusting her dose too. Plus side is fewer NDW spells to get through too.

Gracie, maybe you spoiled us, but we have come to expect prettier colors from you. Almost blue, how about it? Enjoy your time out Marje.

Hope Gracie comes back down without more juice. I have had the same questions about too much insulin but continue to push upward hoping for a break through.

Hi Marje, yes those aren't Gracie numbers, so hope the new dose helps bring her down into those pretty numbers. I hope you enjoyed the day with little Gracie giving you a day break.

Thank you all for visiting today. I got some errands run...yippee!!!

I tried a new pen tonight. This is all looking so much like her cycles when the last pen fizzled. I think it's better to first try a new pen before raising her dose and then realizing she needs new insulin. So....if I don't see better numbers here quickly with the new pen, then the dosecrease is next. And while I don't suspect anything wrong with her, she has a vetty appt this week.

It was time for Gracie's +2 meal so I went into the kitchen and found baby girl up on the counter where Tobey eats and she had somehow managed to get the lid off his food...I must not have gotten it down
as tight as I normally do. I'm not sure exactly how much she ate but I weigh Tobey's food, too, and near as I can calculate probably about .4 oz instead of .2 oz. THANKFULLY....he eats the same Wellness
as she does so it was just WN chicken 4% carbs. However...lots more than she typically gets so let's see how it affects Little Piggy's numbers. :lol: :lol: Just when she showed some promise of starting down
a little more tonight.

I think you're a little dyslexic tonight. Otherwise, if that +2 is correct, get your shoes on cause that's an alarming BG #.

ohmygosh i saw that 915 and thought "do they even measure that high?" :shock: glad it was a typo!

hope the new pen does the trick. we have a new one for tomorrow.

all right gracie - you heard the threat! it's time!
 
Oh yeah...she ate more of it than I thought. 245 @ +4 and I'm sure that is a food spike if I compare it to her other cycles of late where she has been very consistent.

Ann...definitely not liking the food service around here. :lol: :lol:
