I can't wait for my official Lantus pens. I am wondering about the effectiveness of my stupid compound stuff. It should be here next week.

G and I are at the vet currently. Getting his eyes checked - never seem to undilate. And his bum rubbing habit. Ugh.
 
Well, vet thinks his BP is ok. Didnt do the full test because he was starting to freak out. Buttttttt he has the start of cataracts =( she didnt think anything specific caused them, just age. But i am happy its something "normal". I was just told to bring him in if he seems to have sudden symptom changes. He did so well will all the things they did. The pressure test scares the crap out of me as a human who knows what is happening. I was cringing.

For his bum issues... anal glands were fine (he did NOT like that exam LOL). So I have to bring in a fecal sample for them to make sure its not worms. He could just be doing it as a behavior issue, not medical.
 
I'm glad the vet visit went well. Sorry about the cataracts. Most people don't realize that cats get them, just like people. Cinco and Harvey both had them. Just watch for any behavior changes that could indicate vision loss. They can be surgically removed, just like with people.

Yeah, he seems to be able to see fine and isn't pawing at them or anything. She told me to watch for those, and to check them for redness as well. As for the cause, he could just be prone to it OR it could have come from the diabetes. So many things can lead to cataracts, so i am not going yo sit and stress about it. As long as my boy isn't in pain and lives comfortably, I'll be happy.

His PM numbers werent as high as I thought they'd be. So, a plus.
