Thanks everyone for stopping by last night. I kept expecting Zeus to dip low (just nervous about the low shot number I guess), so I tested every 2 hours until he started to rise again. Here is a recap:

PMPS 66
+1 324
+3 281
+5 256
+7 273

Although I am up at the normal time, we stalled for an hour last night. I should have thought to adjust the alarm clock by an hour, but I didn't. Oh well. I take Zeus to the vet today for his semi annual check up and I think rabies shot. Do you all give the kitties rabies shots if they don't go out? Zeus and Smokey are strictly indoor. I have given the shot in the past as a just in case, but now with the FD I don't know if it is a good option or not.

My head is still pretty congested this morning. Today will be a full week of this cold. I do feel fortunate though, I haven't felt terrible the entire time. In fact, yesterday I really thought I was getting better until the afternoon when I had all that congestion and the sinus pressure. I will have to take a nap later today, I am feeling run down.

I will be back with PS numbers in about 45 min.

Re: 1/12 Zeus no BG yet

Morning Kathie ~O)

I've let some of our kids' vaccinations slide too, vet said no problem for inside kitties.
I don't know of any FD related factors.........
Hope you have a restful day and start to feel better

Re: 1/12 Zeus no BG yet

My kitties get the one year rabies shot. My arm hurts too much to go searching and copying and pasting, but the one year one made by Muriel is the best.

Re: 1/12 Zeus AMPS 344

Zeus was such a good boy at the Vets today, he was all full of purrs in the exam room. He didn't even flinch when he got his shots. The Vet said that he couldn't detect the heart murmur that our other vet had... But Zeus was purring the whole time. So he had to try listening a couple of times. other than some tartar, the vet said he looks great, like the average cat without FD. Then he gave me compliments, said I was doing a great job with Zeus, and it was apparent that I was keeping on top of everything, and good communication - keeping them up to date with Zeus' numbers. I was thrilled when we left. Now if Zeus could stop bouncing, life would be great :-D

I was so tired yesterday, and then staying up much of the night testing Zeus, that I crashed on the couch for a three hour nap today. I probably would have slept longer but Zeus woke me up. He is still in the ugly pinks this afternoon. Poor guy. I hope he decides to come down into the blues and greens in the PM cycle.

That's great you got a good vetty report today. In WV it is a state law you have to give your cat a rabies shot. I never thought about how it might affect a diabetic. I hope Zeus slides down for you soon and you get over your cold.

Geez, you've had the darn cold long enough. I sure hope it's gone soon. It sounds like it's hanging on a long time, so take good care. Lots of liquids and rest - as much as you can.
It's nice your vet realizes what a great job you do with Zeus. Even nicer that they tell you!

Hey Zeus, sunshine... come on down little one. You don't need to be up that high to wave to everyone. lots of hugs and feel betters.. mary and oliver

Zeus listened to you... He slid down to the sunshine yellow floor  And so close to a blue, fingers crossed.

Wow, that was a quick dip down to blue... even after eating at +3.
