WCR: All Ps in place. Appy was pretty decent this morning. I had two little btb times this morning. By the time my alarm went off for the second btb nap, Shasta was having none of that snooze button anymore. She came into the room and hollered at me. When i got out of bed, she pulled the "we're playing tag and mom's it...RUN AWAY!" attitude. So, we played chase for a few moments. That didn't last long, but she was cute about it.

Once I got on my computer, I saw a few messages from my landlady about my horse not feeling well this morning. So, I grabbed my halter and lead line and grabbed the banamine (just in case it was colic related) and headed out to the pasture. I found him in the back pasture with the others. He seemed a bit lethargic and I didn't hear many gut sounds, but he wasn't showing all of the classic signs of colic so I held off on the banamine. I walked him around a bit and then took him to the barn area to give him a little spa treatment. (since I never ride anymore, he rarely ever gets spa treatment.) I picked his hooves (he got his nails did!) and gave him a haircut (he's so cute with a mohawk!) and brushed him (the layers of dirt are too many and I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to dirt...I turn into a sneezing machine.) Afterwards, I grabbed an empty grain bag and went back to the back pasture to pull weeds. I came across several poisonous weeds when I initially walked out. I couldn't just leave them. My back disagrees. I've been icing and heating it all night. Tomorrow should be awesome...NOT!

Hope all the kitties are doing well...and the hoomins!!!! Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

Hi Deborah! Sounds like Shasta makes a good alarm clock  She's looking good in blue tonight! I'm glad you got to do some quality spa time with your horse, I hope he is feeling better. I have a bad back too, so I totally understand the hot and cold on it! I have one of those gel packs frozen that runs the length of my neck and the entire back :-D I hope it feels better tomorrow. Have a good night!

sounds like a ton of work! hope your back is feeling better by tonight - backs are pretty important!

great report on shasta - what a nice alarm clock - after two snooze buttons, of course. nothing like sleeping in!
