WCR: P's all Present
Good Morning Everyone
Another homebound day (beginning to make a minor dent in long-long overdue business-at-home-work) which is actually turning into a blessing in disguise. The leg is being a leg again thanks to the much needed "stay-off-it rest I've been weather-forced to get. No complaints here.
My heart goes out to our LL buddies and beans having a hard time today and since this year has started. I pray you can find peace in the midst of your storms. So sorry.
Compared to some of our buddies we are faring very well, our biggest problem right now (nothing compared to others) is waiting for the new strips to show up. Gandolf's "P's" (I'm watching closely) show him to be doing basically OK. His #'s got a little high yesterday and I do think they really were (inspite of the strips) cause he was driving me crazy and wanting to eat more. Besides registering a higher number, it's cold and I do think bean or kitty bodies want more fuel to burn when it's cold. I am ready to take the dose up again.
We played a little last night for some exercise, trying to nab the little red laser dot from laser mousie. Fun, but Gandolf doesn't go for it for long. A little is better than none I guess.
I have a couple of questions of things I have read:
1. What does "renal threshold" mean and how does it relate to dosing?
2. What does it mean when kitty is "surfing flat yellow". This is paraphrased but I read in a condo something like "you know what they say about surfing flat yellows" and didn't know what it meant. Just wondering?
Thanks for all the great input and I hope things get gooder, better, and bestest for all our buddies in Lantus Land.
Gotta go. Stay warm and be safe.
