Not sure why she's up this morning. She might have had her +6 snack closer to +11.
I tried an experiment with her feeder, after reading @Bandit's Mom and @Jason - Kona's Dad 's discussion yesterday about whisker fatigue. Bella is acting like a wild savage with her feeder, and I realized that the cups are deep. So I put balled aluminium foil in the cups and her food in a jar lid (I'll get some small dishes). I was there when it opened at +4 yesterday night, my son was playing trumpet at the hockey game so we had a late night! She was calmer but after she ate, she dug out everything, I guess in case there might have been some food hidden there! And she did the same with the next one, the aluminium foil balls and the lids were scattered around the kitchen this morning ;)

Ahh, I didn't think about the automatic feeders. Now you have me thinking of ways to lift the food up more. I use the Petmate C500, they are kinda deep.

That's the one I was looking at, they make a stainless steel insert for it which seems less deep. For now I have the PetSafe one, similar to it, but my son broke it (he took about a foot in the last year and does not always know where his feet are :facepalm: )so I need to remember to put something heavy on top of it or she can push the cup and turn them. It's the first one she did not succeed at opening. She's very, very, very food motivated.

Thank you, @Diane Tyler's Mom !
The Catmate is the one I was looking at, because there are steel inserts. I'm thinking those would be easier to use when we have a sitter. I'm going to buy some small plates as you are showing. Thanks for all the links! I might also get some Playdough so Bella stops playing with that all night long :p

You're welcome Cecile I had to laugh when you said the aluminum balls and lids were scattered all around the kitchen :p

Hi Cecile, Bella is so playful. She really likes to get into all kinds of stuff, doesn’t she ? That’s really good that she’s so inquisitive.
And a lovely cycle today, too!
Have a nice night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She does no play too much anymore, unless there is or might be food. She loves the DVD player, too, she wants to attack it, it's funny.

@Diane Tyler's Mom We took a video of her going after her feeder, just now. And then we were watching it and when she heard the noise of the feeder in the video, she came running at it again. "ventre à terre", we say in French, with her belly to the ground ;) I'll try to post it tomorrow.
I'll ask my husband if he knows gavone. Italian was his first language, his mom was Italian. She sure eats like a pig. Not too much, but only because I don't give her too much, but she would. She comes right back and sits in her testing spot as soon as she's done eating, I tell her if I start losing my memory she will eat way too much, she is very convincing!

Lol I hope you can post the video, that is just to darn funny!
She is a riot!
Oh how I wish I could speak Italian but both my parents , parents probably never spike it to them. It's such a beautiful language.
Gavone is a slang word , I'd be curious if your husband ever heard of it.
Were you from France? That's a beautiful language also.
My mom's parents were from Sicily and my Dad's parents were from Venice.
Well going to sign off for now my eyes are killing me from being in the board and typing so much.
Talk to you tomorrow
Have a good sleep :bighug::cat:

Nice night cycle so far :D
