Good Morning Everyone,

We got some more new snow last night, so finally we seem to be having a normal winter! Rusty slept so soundly last night that he didn't even get up before the alarm this morning! Ate all of his nighttime food at some point, however. We've had a short play with Red Ears and his string, but Rusty seems happier just to lounge on his cushion next to the radiator this morning. Big Bug will get his workout later, no doubt!
DH is at yoga and I'm doing laundry. A low-key day of chores. Everyone have a good Tuesday.

Happy Days in Rusty Land! Still with the great numbers - YAY!

Enjoy your fresh snow! They keep saying we are supposed to get some, but it hasn't really showed... bummer, i think. Though today with Mannie at the vet I hope it stays away, until I get the boy home.. :lol:

have a good one today - I love low key days. :-D

We are awaiting the new snow we are getting, sure feels like we live in the Mts.!! Making stew & turkey, hunkering down yet again within 2 weeks--EEKKK!

Hi again,
125 at +5.5 is uncharacteristic for Rusty. I had trouble getting blood for the test and the sample may have been too small. Or maybe this morning's shot was fur shot (fur felt slightly damp, but I didn't smell insulin). Or maybe I need to go up a drop in dose to a skinny 0.5? Or maybe I need to start a new Levemir cartridge (this is day 45; the manufacturer recommends 42 days, but I think I should be able to get more than that). Maybe all, or none, of the above!!! I'll try to get a +9 this afternoon and see what's what there.
Rusty has been playing with his Red Ears and string and in his cube, but hasn't wanted to play with Big Bug today. I think I'll put Big Bug away for a few days. We just had a nice brushing (usually Edward does this)

sounds like a calm day of catching up on chores for you. Hope that +5.5 isn't a sign of things to come and Rusty gets back to his great #s

Awwww Rusty has a music in his heart. I love hearing about him singing.

Glad you are liking the snow :)

Rusty and Maverick have similar numbers. The advice to me was to pick up the food two hours before feeding time - not change the dose - and see how he does. It seems to be having an impact.

Just stopping in to say hi to Rusty and Bean :) I love the yoga cat, but not the snow...it made my trip to buy cat food a little more of an adventure than I bargained for. Stay warm!

I decided to up his dose by a drop in any event, just to try to bring down the whole group of recent numbers a bit. Shot a very skinny 0.5 this evening (instead of a fat 0.25, but measuring these micro doses is not my forte)!.

Phoebe, I sang (in the chorus) the Orff "Carmina burana" in college. I can see how an energetic cat like Rusty might like this work!!

Everyone have a good evening, and hopefully if you want snow, you'll get snow, and if you don't, you won't!

I love that this condo is turning into a music education class. I never realized Carmina Burana was about tuna. Silly me! :lol:

I'm glad you increased by a drop. A little tweak seems like a good idea to hopefully shift him to all green.

Hi Ella
I know it has been a while since we spoke but I have been reading all about Rusty
and I do get such a smile on my face picturing how comfy cozy he is being with you.
Rusty has come a long way and is so lucky to know so much love in his life.
