Yesterday's Sniffling, Sneezing Condo

I really miss my Mr. Greenie on the subject line! :D I also miss the shocked smilies, because that's how I felt when I got that +4!

I am NOT complaining about Cinco jumping into the lagoon. I am just a little surprised he decided to hit the deep end after so long. He's being a good boy and moving closer to shore with just a little 8%, so all is well. Now I have to make sure I don't overdo it and push him too high. He's been enjoying the extra snacks, of course!

Minka did not want her breakfast, but her usual Ond and Pepcid combo took care of that and an hour later she cleaned her plate. :) Sasha is back to eating the first half happily and needing coaxing and "cookies" to finish it off. Harvey is still eating like a champ. He's especially frisky this morning, running all over the house and jumping on the furniture. He must feel really well. :)

DH is threatening to get on the high ladder and trim a very tall palm tree out in our side yard, so I must get dressed and get out there to spot and be ready to call 911. He will NOT listen when I tell him to let our contractor friend bring his men out to do it. o_O Male egos! :rolleyes:

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: BIG hugs and mega vines to Amy and Trixie. :bighug::bighug::bighug:. Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM.

Nice dive, Cinco! I miss Mr Greenie too, along with some of the message box emoticons. Our current selection seems a little creepy to me :p!

Thank you for the extra vines for Trix...it's been a rough day for sure, but we feel the L&LL love behind us.

Cinco, way to go!!! Look at the Lagoon action. Whooohoooooooo! A toe dip and now some safe, green surfing please.

We'll keep sending the appy vines to the girls. Good, though, that they're helping a bit. More, girls, please want some more.

Cinco!! My buddy, my pal!! So happy you made it down to the lagoon today! We have such fun down there! I won't tell Skooter it was you that swam under him and jerked down his swimsuit....LOL~ China

Nice to see Cinco in the greens again, but he sure didn't need to do it all at once like that...but of course, if you were expecting it, it wouldn't be near as much "fun"!

Great that all the kitties ate for you today, even if it was after the pills....at least they ate!

Sure hope DH stays safe! Last thing I think you guys need is a broken leg...or worse
 
Thanks for the visits, Molly, Marilyn, Amy and Chris. I'm happy to report that the DH is down off the ladder with no damage except a torn shirt. Fortunately, I made him put on an old one before he started his little project. He has this bad habit of going into the garage or outside and working in whatever he was wearing to work that day. :rolleyes: If I hadn't make him put on that old shirt, a really nice, fairly new shirt would have been the casualty. Men! I must say, though, that the tree looks A LOT better.

Cinco decided to follow Skooter up onto the beach. I'm hoping he'll just hang there until dinner, but you never know. Rumor is there's a trampoline in the area...:stop:

Minka came down to the kitchen a while ago for a snack. She's back again now. Makin' Mama smile! :):):)

Excellent cycle today Cinco - and doing it when the bean is home to watch! :D:D:D:D Steady does it tonight, maybe even a repeat performance?

Your story of DH made my eyes roll too. My parent's skylight is leaking and almost 92 year old DF is threatening to go up the ladder onto the slippery metal roof. :rolleyes: Good to hear DH came back with nothing worse than a torn old shirt.

Super numbers for Cinco- Good boy! Yeah for Minka, Sasha and Harvey eating, even if cookies are needed for Sasha! I am especially pleased to hear Minka ate, that was scary you said all she ate was broth the other day. :bighug: Now I hope that your DH is over his flu and you are over your cold!
 
Cinco gets to join LBG in the Lil Stink'ear club only he has to be in the Lil Stinka club because he's not a Scottish Fold ;);):joyful::joyful::joyful: Good job catching that and doing a super job managing it.

Glad the other kids are eating even with a little help.

We have one huge rule around here: no hoomans on ladders for any reason at all ever unless another hooman is holding it (I can't trust Gracie and Tobey because they are such tricksters that they would shake it). Of course, the no hoomans on ladders doesn't apply to kitties; Tobey is an avid ladder climber...right to the top :nailbiting:

Hope Cinco keeps his toes in the sand!
 
Cinco, so glad you joined Max in the lagoon today. It would have been better had you stayed in the deeper section with Max. Hopefully you, China and Max will meet there tonight. More fuds vines heading your way.
 
Cinco, dude was someone mean to you in the lagoon (which I find hard to believe) or something....you need to start sliding down as Skooterbutt wants to play!

Everyone ate dinner, although I think Harvey was a little full from his earlier gorging, as he didn't quite clean his plate. I have no doubt the last few bites will disappear eventually. Minka again needed a different flavor. I never know which old favorites she is going to shun and which she will eat. But, as long as I get food in her, I'm good. Ruth, she did eat some food that day, just more broth than anything else. At least it was broth rather than plain water - she got some nutrients from it, as well as hydration!

Marje, we have a similar rule here, but it's hard to enforce. DH did wait for me this time, though, and he used the sturdiest ladder we have, so I was much more comfortable. Cinco is definitely a Lil Stinka on occasion! He'll wear that designation proudly, I'm sure.:rolleyes:

I would think Cinco was bouncing, but this is not an uncommon PMPS for him, so we'll just have to see what the rest of the evening brings. Molly, I hope he had so much fun with Skooter, Max and the others that he wants to go back to the lagoon! PJ parties are fine with me!

DH's flu is pretty much gone, except for that annoying cough that hangs on. My head cold is MUCH better - don't remember when I had one that started getting better this fast, but I'm pretty darned pleased. I think I drowned it right out - drinking tons of fluids! Still sneezing and sniffling some, but not going through near as much Kleenex as yesterday. I may get to go to bowling tomorrow after all. I'd hate to miss my garlic pretzel bites! ;)
 
Garlic pretzel bites? I suck at bowling but great at eating.....what time should I be there?

Guess its time for me to sell my stock in Kleenex lol..glad you are both feeling better and everyone survived the ladder. :)
 
Well I don't want to brag or anything but I got like a 62 last time I went bowling...

However my wrists hurt for days if I do it now :(
 
My highest average was like 130. My back surgeon told me I could keep bowling if it was really important to me, but he'd rather I didn't. I decided it wasn't worth it. I stunk, but I did enjoy it. Guess I'm a little masochistic! :p:joyful:
