Jack is plunking along, but still hanging out in the rafters despite ramping up on the R insulin. Either the antibodies or the tumor need to take a break so we can get back to those nice blues he had at the start of the year. Come on Jack, show me you remember colors other then pink and yellow:cat:

Hope Jack is feeling good despite hanging in the rafters. At least Doodles is in good company. It's beach/lagoon time Capt. Jack....you've abandoned your ship long enough buddy.
 
Let's get this boat back in the blue water and Jack said Doodles is always welcome for a sunset cruise... Just no deep water adventures, we want to stay close to shore!

These numbers have me thinking the IAA is really putting up a fight recently. I'm nervous about the larger doses of R insulin, but the alternative is an even larger lev depot then he has now. half dozen of one or 6 of the other... It would be nice to take the occasional testing break, but as we know with these IAA kitties, you have to be ready for that drop that will sneak up.

There is no rhyme or reason lately that's for sure.

What is with these antibodies? :mad: Jan. 31st last year is when Doodles became the mystery cat going from all green to stuck in yellow & pink overnight. It took until March 16th to get the IAA/ HCM/CHF dx. So we're certainly close to the 1 year mark of IAA when it's supposedly should resolve and go away on it's own.
 
I'm a few months behind, but just like you, itching at the thought of the IAA finally breaking... 6.5R after his food spike and it dropped him 15 points, this cat sure has gotten good at ignoring the fact he is getting mega doses of insulin.

Doodles, um, what's with that +4, this is no high-score competition.:mad:
 
The antibodies don't have a calendar. No use expecting or hoping too much that they will break at the 12 months mark. For Neko it was 9 months, but it coincided with her SRT treatment impacting the acromegaly tumour. I've seen others take quite a bit longer than a year, or break when another condition changed too. (dental, change to Lev, etc.). The one constant I have seen is that you need to show the antibodies the green. For some reason, getting to a dose where they see green seems to help keep them at bay.

I can still dream!!!!:) I know eventually it will happen, but like all things cat... on his schedule.

I am really confused now about his latest numbers, even with the largest R doses to date, he is just not moving. 6.5u of R and he hasn't budged in 2 hours, 317 -> 318.:arghh: He was just at the vet and got a clean bill of health minus the diabetes. Labs all came back good as well. This cat is getting too good at sucking down insulin like a drunk frat boy.:smuggrin:
 
As of today, it's one month at this dose of Lev, 12 days since he last saw green and nothing below 200 since the 1st. He's overdue for a Lev increase.
 
I know it is just a number but I was trying to stay under 30, partly with the upcoming trial start.

I agree though that the current plan just wasn't working so he got his increase tonight and hopefully we can start seeing some better numbers soon. Still not sure why the big jump after the first of the year, but cats will be cats and they don't always share their plans with the bean.
