HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I can't believe another year has come and gone. I want to thank everyone that has been here for me and Simon and Cleo this past year. There were definitely challenges, but throughout it all, we had love and support from our FDMB friends. Thank you!!
Meanwhile, Mr. Simon decided to start the year off with a not so nice number. I am determined to get on top of these numbers and get him more regulated. I forgot to tell you that last week, I took Simon in to get an x-ray done because something has just been bugging me about him. He does a little coughing thing every once in awhile. It turns out he has a touch of asthma. We are just watching it right now since it only happens once in a blue moon, but any advice is appreciated. I know steroids are not good for diabetic kitties, but I don't want the asthma to become a problem.

Cleo is doing much better and eating better. She has a little bit of a cold it seems this morning so I hope it won't cause her to stop eating again. Her stitches will come out by the end of this week.

Thanks again to everyone here. You are an amazing group of people! I wish for a happy and healthy year for all of FDMB!

Re: 1/1 Simon AMPS 303

Morning Georgia and happy New Year and wishing you all the best in 2013. Simon, what are you doing way up there? Hope he comes down nice and easy. What a coincidence with the cough, as Mags has the same thing. When she was at the Vetty for a day with enemas, the Vet said she also had a little asthma. He didn't reccommend prednisolone for her as yet and will monitor. Keep us posted as to Simon, and I'll be interested in what others say. So good to hear a good report on Cleo. I will keep her in my prayers.

Morning Georgia ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O)

I totally agree - what a great place we have her in LL!

Oh wow on Simon and the asthma... I wish I could help, but have zippo experience here. Melissa (Tarragon)comes to mind as far as help goes.

Healing vines for Cleo's cold. Hope that passes quickly. Good news on the rest: stitches out soon! YAY!

Enjoy your day Georgia - I hope it is a good one!

Uh oh, Simon, I hear a dosecrease threat from your bean. Let's see some action! And great to hear that Cleo is doing well. :-D :-D :-D Thank you for your good wishes and Happy New Year to you, Georgia! I have black-eyed peas cooking.
Liz

Happy New Year Georgia :-D

What great news about Cleo! I hope Simon's numbers improve, and that his asthma doesn't become troublesome.

Yay, Simon -- you are listening to everyone and coming down to a nice blue.

Ann, I didn't realize Mags was also diagnosed with a little asthma. We can walk this path together and if you find out anything that is helpful, let me know and I'll do likewise.

Michelle, thanks for sending me the reminder about Tarragon. I'll send Melissa a PM.

Bruce, thanks as always, for the well wishes for Simon and Cleo.

Anne and Liz, dosecrease threat is working. Yum to black eyed peas. I will be eating some tonight, along with collared greens. The other thing people make around here which is extremely disgusting is fried chitlins' (too disgusting for me to write about what they are). Kind of like eating haggis when you go to Scotland.

I'm sorry Simon has a touch of asthma...but he also has an awesome bean who's on top of it!! Gorgeous PMPS for the little guy. And great news about Cleo!!

Georgia, I sure will keep you posted on Mags. She has a 8 am Vetty visit today just for b/w!
What a nice slide down to blue and PMPS for Simon. Happy New Year!
