This is probably a dumb question, but I need some syringe knowledge: I need to order a new box of syringes, and the ones I'm presently using will not be shipped in time before I run out of my supply. Here is what I am using:

EasyTouch U-100 Insulin Syringe with Needle, 31G 0.3cc 5/16-Inch (8mm), Box of 100

I can receive, in time, the other U-100 syringe options with the same gauge (31 or 30 would be okay too), same length (5/16 inch), but at .05cc or 1cc. Does the cc measurement matter? Would I be okay ordering either of those sizes? Also, I'm unsure of the "8mm" measurement. Is that something I need to be worried about?

Here is the Amazon link I'm looking at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2HV7XQ?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_0_1&th=1

Okay, so I went back and read the sticky on syringes, and it says to use 3/10cc. With that in mind, I'll order these:

EasyTouch U-100 Insulin Syringe with Needle, 30G 0.3cc 5/16-Inch (8mm), Box of 100

If someone reads this and sees that I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. Thanks!!

Hi Marielle, I think the choice you landed on is the one you want. cc’s describe the total volume of the syringe, so 0.3 cc’s is 0.3 mL of total fluid. The 8 mm is just the metric conversion of 5/16 inches and describe the length of the needle. Since our cats’ dosage are relatively small, the lowest total volume (0.3 cc’s) would be the easiest to control dosage adjustments with

One feature I don’t see on these syringes are half unit markings, which make it easier to dose in 0.25 units adjustments. So that is the only potential downside I see of the syringes you chose.
