HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!


Binks, the girls and I are a bit on the run this morning
(well...I"M on the run...they're laying around laughing at the fact that I didn't make it home last night :? )
But I wanted to check in and wish our favorite folks a joyful beginning to the year.
It's been quite a year, hasn't it? May all see wonderful things in 2012!

And of course, wanted to share two quick stories from our crazy New Year's Eve in Cuddville. :smile:

As I was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot yesterday afternoon, I noticed a young gal standing next to her car with the hood raised.
She was obviously dressed for evening revels, and NOT for the freezing winds...and nobody was stopping to help her.
(or to ask, as I did..."Good God, girl...where is your coat!!")
Long story short, the timing chain on her car had snapped, so i offered her a ride. She grabbed her great big purse, and hopped in.
I dropped her off at some apartments not far away, and headed back home.
As I pulled into my driveway and turned off the stereo, I heard some rustling in the grocery bags behind the seat :shock:
Sure I was imagining it, I reached over, opened the suspect bag...and looking back at me was a FERRET...merrily munching away
from an open bag of snow peas :o
When we returned him to Young Momma (he chummily riding on my shoulder and peering out the window)...she was in a panic, of course.
He's a charming little fellow named Freddy...and she told me she was afraid to tell me he was with her in case he wasn't welcome in my car,
and didn't notice he had crawled out during the ride.
:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: All furries welcome 'round here, chica! I let him keep the snow peas as a holiday gift.

Then last night, I smuggled some Cheladas into the nursing home to spend the evening with Tam.
My alcohol tolerance seems to have waned...as I woke up this morning on the empty second bed in her room :roll:
The staff were teasing me unmercifully...said they just didn't have the heart to wake me up because they were sure
I was exhausted from snoring so loudly :lol:

So, am off to pick up tam to bring her to Mom's for the day...
we'll be back to visit y'all later!

I hope your stories and the antics of the Cudd clan (and all of the extended "family" you seem to adopt along the way) bring you as much laughter and delight as they do me! Have a very happy and healthy New Year.

that new year's eve must mean SOMETHING about what's coming your way for 2012. perhaps lots of laughter!

I had to look up Cheladas. I've had the french version with lemon and no salt, panaché. Sounds terrible but really tasty. How many did you have? :lol:

Celi, I think you are the only person that could have all that happen on one night! When you started your story by saying you didn't come home last night, I was picturing you at a wild party...definitely not a wild party at the nursing home!

I can't believe you didn't drive off the road when you heard the rustling sound in your bag. I would have been thinking it was a snake!

Hope you and your family have a wonderful 2012 and please keep us laughing. We need our Celi fix!
 
Good thing you knew where the ferret lived or you'd have had a new addition to the family!

Funny, my car wouldn't start this afternoon either. And just where were you when I needed a ride into town? I don't have any ferrets but I think there's a beaver down by the creek!

LOL (PS I got it started, I have a battery charger. Had to look up how to use it on Google, tho.) LOL
 
If ever I'm in need of a chuckle, I always know where to go!!! You're a master storyteller, for sure!!

I hope the new year brings you every kindness...you deserve it!!!

The ferret reminded me of Deb's Pippin and his crazed love of peppers :-D
they really are clever little cuties, aren't they?
and in the 15 minutes or so he was "shoulder seat driving"...he groomed my ear twice!
Took me almost a year to get Annie to groom me :lol:

and I'm thinking I need to borrow Smudge's Snore Strips :?

and Sienne...I told Tam I wanted to see the movie "We Bought a Zoo"...
and she laughed and said "You just sit tight and the zoo comes to you!"

and Liz-don't forget- we're from idaho...

*snicker* i thought the same thing, CD. that looks kinda repulsive to me. but i'm not much for beer. couldn't find any better drinks? :lol:
