Happy New Year!! party_cat

All is good here in Shasta's house. We partied hard until about 12:10am; and by "we", I mean "me"; and by "partied", I mean "exercised and talked to my cat and did some work on the laptop!" I know...I'm such the party animal!

Shasta seems to be feeling a bit better. Appy seems good, preening in bed last night as I was trying to sleep, some action in LB (not sure what is in there!), some play (mostly aggressive "I hate you mom for taking me to the vet" play), and very little purring...for obvious reasons. Still hoping she enjoys her new kitty condo. Only time will tell.

Ok, back to bed time. Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve! Blessings to all!!

Happy New Year you party animals! It sounds like a really nice evening to me. I'm glad Shasta is feeling better. Beans always feel better when kitties feel better. I'm sure she'll forgive you for the vetty visit. Enjoy your btb. hugs and scritches mary and oliver

Happy New Year, Deborah and Shasta! You two are quite the party animals. :lol: :lol: Let's see a little partying in the grotto and the lagoon, right, Shasta? Have you played with Shasta's favorite toys on the condo? Ours is under a heating vent - very popular winter spot. :lol:

Glad Shasta is feeling better to start out the new year . Hope she settles into her new condo soon. We sprinkled catnip on our kitty condo to get rapid acceptance and it seemed to help. Happy 2013!

So, I've been a bad bean today. My plan was to run up to Dillard's at 10am to check out their New Year sale and I was only going to be gone for about 30 minutes. ...so...an hour and a half later, I ran home to check on Shasta and went back to the mall to see if any other stores had any good deals. Nope! Ran to school to do some work for a former student who is singing for her grandfather's funeral. Now, home, watching Shasta sleep, sorting and putting away, crafting and cleaning, and watching "Criminal Minds".

Shasta did have a few moments in the emerald greens today. I felt horrible that I wasn't here to make sure she didn't dip too low, but I left her some 12% to help her surf. She hasn't done much with her new cat condo except lay down on the bottom (floor) level. I will try to get her to play with it tomorrow. I have a feeling that she is still very sore after the rabies shot and anal sac expression.

Thank you guys for checking in on us today. I'm sure everyone was shocked by our party animal condo! :lol:

Hi Deborah - I suspect a number of us partied about as hard as you did last night. :lol: Our consisted of watching videos and eating snack food. Happy New Years to you two.

Emerald greens are nice for Shasta and I'm sure she enjoyed the 12%. Paws crossed on the new condo acceptance. Sometimes it has to be in just the right spot.

Wendy, I think you're right on "just the right spot." I'm just not sure there is a right spot in my tiny house. She already has all of her "places" staked out. I'll keep trying to move and encourage! :lol: Hope you guys are having a great New Years Day!! Happy New Year!

Morning Deborah and Shasta, and Happy New Year a little late. I had the same kind of party for New Year's Eve as you and had a great time. party_cat I just got caught up on your condo, and I love Shast's pic on her condo. Love that condo, too, what a cutie pie! Oh boy, is that what I heard on Monday with her Vetty visit! :lol: My GA kitty was a handful, too, at Vetty. I hope Shasta has recovered and is all forgiving. Poor Maggie has a Vetty visit this morning at 8 am for b/w, urinalysis! Nice slide down to blue. Hugs and scritches from us to Shasta and you.
