Good Morning World! Happy New Year! Yesterday's Learning Experiences
pm+5 - 312
AMPS 400 - yuck!
YUCK again! Red Pook? REALLY? RED? I think I know how the hard food bowl got pushed off the microwave... :? There's probably 8" square of room for him to jump onto the counter (BIG HUGE NO NO!), raise up and get to the bowl. He KNOWS better - no one is EVER allowed on kitchen counters period, they don't even try....unless we're all asleep... We had a beautiful run of greens yesterday, even had a PMPS of 144. I got up at pm+5 and tested to be sure he wasn't low...no such luck, he handed me that ugly 312.
For some reason I'm having trouble with Leo suddenly starting to jump on Pepper and showing jealousy actions. I'm struggling with how to handle it, I've been putting him in his little crate when I catch him but that doesn't seem to be getting thru to him, he just sits there until I let him out and does it again. I set up the big crate in their room today - I may have to go back to a crate and reintroduce when he gets over being huffy. I'm not sure THAT will work either. He's turning into a huge lovebug and wants to be petted and scratched all the time - he's getting jealous when Pepper gets attention. Pepper has a bit of jealousy of her own which doesn't help the situation at all. She may be all black, I swear she's got a touch of panther in her sometimes - HUGE 'Catitude'. I've introduced him to both KT and Snow while in my lap, things went fine but I'm not sure how it would go if he were down on the floor with them.
BIG HUGS for all that visit today - we sure enjoyed all the visits yesterday. I thought of 1000 more things to add to my "I learned..." but never found time to come back and post them.
My "I learned..." for today is
* Stop and look down - NOTICE the tiny world going on around your feet. There's a whole miniature world down there living just like us 'BIG' things. A wonderful example is my 'helper' ants. I don't know what kind they are but when one gets out of line and loses their way, another one will run up behind it and begin pushing it back to the group. Over the years, I've watched lots of ants 'saved' by another one - what a blessing it would be if HUMANS would grab that straying one and bring it back too.
