Good morning all,

Had some sort of a hard time sleeping yesterday, don't know why. It's like if I was
''denied'' deep sleep. Woke up twice during the night to find Small Kitty the same
as he was when I went to bed, meowing and asking for food, his system disturbed
telling him he needed more food even if he was topped up... Was a sad sight so I gave
him the food he requested cause it would never end. Had nothing to lose anyways,
GL was already busted. (before that he was also fighting not to be tested, he was
kind out of his mind...)

He changed after, he jump on the bed and let me share a little of attention without
stepping away heading for the kitchen. He is not mad this morning neither but
GL is a disaster. Start to wonder how long I will wait to set him back to his before
double decreases in less then 7 days.

Anyways, coffee time :):coffee::), got to leave soon

Sebastien, that annoying crying for food in the middle of the night is not fun. Sorry he is running higher this morning but he will come down again. Hope your coffee helps keep you alert today. :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:

Coffee machine did a good job in boosting me up but Small Kitty being
hungry is a sign that something is wrong, that he's not feeling good.
Seeking for food not finding any must have some bad effect and I can't
give unlimited food... Urine level is also heavy, must be something like
haft the size of a softball being released on every cycle.

Even without full curve numbers show a dose that is not sustaining needs
up to the end of the cycle. Don't think there is bounce effect.

Let's hope it's just the depot that is off synch

Though I have no dosing advice to offer, what I can share is empathy for your frustrations, worries and struggles to help SK feel better.

Poor SK, it's sad to see them hungry all the time.

I suspect this dose is not enough and he'll have to go back up to 1.75 units. Is Saturday your first day you can do a curve?

Yeah, next day off is next Saturday. Knowing there is no bounce in the balance I
might do a +3 +6 +9 tonight and see if he's just climbing. Will test ketone tonight as well.
If ketone is more then it was during last test (at 1.6) I'll check him tonight.
A human ketone meter won't show traces below 2.4. At 2.4 and above you know
DKA is next door but 1.6 is way higher then it used to be.

Not only bad things, it's fine at the office, just fine to keep the day rolling and be set

Knocking on wood but seems Small Kitty is on a down phase. He was as quiet
as a none office working cat could be. Quite a difference from a couple of users
that called today.

Will monitor during the night, not going to bed soon. Have a complete chicken
in the oven so there's quite some time before it's well cooked.

We might know if this dose is too low if by some luck he's going down.

Think there will be no great value in monitoring tonight. Small Kitty must have
landed at +8 with a slow climb afterward.

With a low dose system's reaction is probably less drastic. Cause he's light on insulin getting back
down will take some time. ...

Ketone is not improving, far from the 0.3 / 0.6 it used to be but it's not raising.. . .

Small Kitty seem to be doing well, think I'll go sleep and recover from last night.
