I'm getting myself very disappointed, because I know for a fact the needle was in this morning and I can still smell insulin.

If Sly falls out of regulation this is my fault, I'm really not sure wth is going on. Maybe I need to switch spots where I inject. I do alternate on either side of his neck/scruff.

We never had this issue before, I wish I knew why it's happening.

So tonight after I drew up the dose and pulled the syringe from the vial, I got a whiff of insulin.. I'm now wondering if what I smelled was residual..

Either way, no issues with tonight's dose

I don't know either, but please don't beat yourself up over something that is definitely not your fault. You are a dedicated mama, and you are doing a great job.

Sly's doing great! Things do happen with FD even though he was uneventful steady greens for a long time.
Whatever is happening isn't your fault. You are a caring wonderful mom.
Sly will settle down soon. Hang in there
