Furball was very happy & purry this morning. She loved all the extra attention she got last night because I had to keep testing her. Silly kitty thought I got up to get that +5.5 just to play with her. :lol: Hopefully she'll clear the bounce soon. She may also be bouncing because I decided to give her some HC food at +4 to see how much it raised her BG. I thought last night was a good time to test that out. This way I'll be better prepared if she goes really low. I did give her 1/3 of a can, instead of a teaspoon, because I needed to try and get some sleep. Maybe next time I can try a teaspoon at a time to see what she does.

Jane, I'm very tired this morning. When I have to get up to get a +5 or +6 test I only get about 1 hour of sleep before the alarm goes off. That totally throws my whole night off. Other than that, I'm doing good. I hate being tired, but it is worth getting up to make sure Furball is okay. I'd never forgive myself if I intentionally didn't get up and something happened to her. Thanks for asking. Thanks for the butterfly.

I know bounce is the real reason.
I hope Furball comes back down quickly.
I spent last night writing carb values on different cans with a sharpie. found one with 18% ( Yikes) and put it in hypo kit but I doubt
I will ever open it.
It is indeed hard to get up and then this little switch flips and says you gotta be sure it's safe...

Rhiannon - good idea with the sharpie. I think I'll do that for everything that isn't LC otherwise I'd probably run out of ink. But in the heat of the moment, it's good to have that confirmation. Kinda like using a sharpie to write NOT THIS LEG doing into surgery...

Furball is still bouncing. Hopefully she'll come down tomorrow. It looks like I should be able to get some sleep tonight and not worry. Furball was very happy & purry this evening.
 
HI Carla. I know it's hard to look at all that yellow, but Furball will be down again...soon I hope :-D
I hear ya on the sleep deprivation. It's hard making yourself get up to test at night.

I also use a sharpie on my high carb cans. I just write HC and stack them next to the karo and baby food in the pantry.
 
Hi Carla, I saw the pretty greens on Furball's ss! :mrgreen: That is the only way you can tell how much HC to give is to run a test as you did. You'll be able to tell how much to give next time. It is hard to go without sleep, especially you and the others who have to work. Hope Furball lets you sleep tonight.
 
Furball you looked so stunning in that Green, we want more--A bounce is just a bounce & it will pass!
You two are doing great-- marking the cans, that's devotion--Also Look at the New Revised Food lists!
Some of ours were higher than anticipated--Great!
Hope you can catch up on sleep--I so so remember Moonie keeping me up half the night with crazy numbers the first 2 yrs we were here!!--But we do it all for the Glory Of Love--Right??
