Oh Lizzie, too close for comfort, I have chills. I will never forget that day...... one of our doctors lost her brother that day. She was at our Hatboro office and when the radio reported the other tower hit and what floor ( her brother's floor) she got up from her patient and said, "please excuse me", went up to the front desk and told the receptionist she had to go and be with her family.......ugh..........

Yes 9/11 seems like both so long ago and like right now. We lost friends. And friends lost friends and family.
And on that day the vet I had worked for, who was sailing from Hudson River back to Noank Harbor, was in New York Harbor when it happened and witnessed it all.
 
A day none of us will ever forget. I worked a few blocks away but was on a later shift that day. Wasn't able to get to ground zero unti 5a on 9/12 to help with the search and rescue, but there was nobody to be found. Spent the next 2 weeks on 12hr shifts down there. The worst part was seeing the family members at an area setup north of ground zero where they were waiting to hear of any word of lost loved ones. Just horrible.

Paul, thank you, thank you , thank you . I spend every 9/11 anniversary in tears . Cannot imagine your memories or bravery . God bless you and all the courageous rescue men and women . ❤️
