WCR: All is good.

Off topic: All is not good for my outdoor kitty, Shadow. She's refused her dry food over the past couple of days, and is eating wet, but is starting to back off from that, too. This morning, I got her into the carrier with the intention of getting her to the vet early this morning. Got her buckled in (ran the seat belt through the handle, and tried to secure the strap around the carrier itself as best as I could), sat in the driver's seat, turned the key in the ignition, flipped the toggle switch (truck is bypassed with a toggle on the ignition thing as I guess the key doesn't turn it on or something... Not sure what my DH and his brother did), and snap, the toggle switch broke. Went across the street to see if my neighbor friend would drive me, but both of his vehicles are low on fuel, and they get fuel 22 miles away from us in the opposite direction from the vet. My SIL, who lives down the road, doesn't have a vehicle of her own, and I wouldn't trust her driving anyway. So, I had to let Shadow go, and now she's hiding... probably in the shed where it's going to get very warm. I even made sure that I had enough money in the bank to take care of her, but now I can't. If I can't get her there as soon as possible, she'll die. I have a feeling that there's something going on with her mouth, and she's got an infection. I've contacted a mobile vet, but have yet to hear back from him. As it is, I don't know where Shadow is hiding as I can't see her anywhere. I don't think she'll be coming out for me any time soon. I have a feeling that time is slipping away very quickly. I just hope and pray that she'll make it to the weekend. I love her very much. Even though she's an outdoor kitty, she's very much a part of the family.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.

Angela, I'm sorry about Shadow. I hope you can find her and get her to the vet. Sending prayers and hugs to you. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
