Yesterday - Travel Day

J.D. had a green night last night. I gave him some HC at + 5 69 and by +6 he was 91, so I could sleep.

I woke at AMPS 4:45am PST (7:45am EST) to call to see how Ginger was. I knew my neighbor was getting ready for work at that time so all she said was "she ate" and that they'll send me a picture tonight :-D (I'll have to give them my email address, because my phone does not accept messages). I then gave J.D. his shot and because he was 466 I went btb and slept for 4 hours. So the yellow is pretty good, all by himself without the use of R. He is eating fine. And he pooped in the litter box here at the house. Oh and he slept on top of my head and face all night. Very Purry. Very Soft. Very Nice.

Sounds like JD's doing great - maybe recognizing now that he's been there before? Hope you both have a good time, and don't worry about Ginger - I heard some of the kitties are heading over there again today to keep her company!

Thank you, for saying that Anne. It helps me.. getting tear eyed again, damn it! what a wus I am.

I did catch J.D. in the droolers dry food last night (so will have to watch him) and he still got the green at nadir time.

On sad news, last night we heard what we thought was a bird stuck inside a down spout pipe on my dad's patio. It turned out to be a chipmunk. Me and my step mom removed the bottom of the downspout, hoping he would slide to the bottom and to freedom. But when I looked up there with a mirror and flashlight he was pretty much stuck at a Z bend, and my dad adamently refused to get out the saw and cut the downspout in half. I'm afraid he died in there. Last night it was cold. Now, my dad will have to saw the downspout anyway. Some people just don't love animals as much as I do.

Aww, sad story about the chipmunk. Frustrating when people don't love animals as much as we do, isn't it? Maybe when you check on Ginger next, they'll hold the phone up to her ear so you can talk to her? I've done that in past when I've been away. :oops: Don't know if it helped the cats, but it sure helped me!

Did your neighbor uh...say anything, um....about any loud noises um coming from your house yesterday or um...anything about the condition of the uh..the uh, living room? :roll: You know, their idea of cleaning up after themselves is a little bit different from mine, but I know they do try....

Raja & Shadow are heading over there again today and some of the others will be stopping by too.
They said that Ginger ended up happier once she saw all the craziness of all the FD sillies...they do love to laugh. Raja said that no one could be sad with all the dancing and laughing that was going on....and Ginger said she will definitely come with J.D. to ALL the fll_moon parties from now on.
They all had a great time...
so, when are you coming home?
Raja said it's like Ginger has her own place...it is soooo cool. She is all independent...Raja likes that! :mrgreen:

Pat, you make me laugh :lol: It reminds me of when my parents went away on vacation and left the kids and we turned the house into a party house for days. Wait, I didn't do that, no, I was a good girl. :lol:

so were there lots of hangovers in lalaland this morning?? binks seemed a bit worn out, and his butt did look a little smaller from trying to dance it off. Now maybe we'll hear a little less of "does this make me look fat???

Hey Dyana, thanks for stopping by our condo today. CD made me feel a little guilty, so I remedied the problem over there, but thought I'd bring some by here for you in case you don't get back to my place today:

Very nice, JD and Dyana! I'm impressed that he brought himself down from the nasty red to that nice blue, all by himself! Very very nice, indeed! I'm glad that he is settling into your Dad's house so well and he is eating and pooing and peeing and all. At least you don't have to worry about that!

Sorry to hear about the monkamonk. I hope that since it got cold out last night that the pipe expanded and the monk go loose. We can hope, can't we? Yes, it is sad that others aren't animal lovers like some of us. My mom made a comment last week, when El's Neuro had passed. I had called her to see if she wanted to go to the dog park and she wasn't in the mood. My mom said something to the effect...you mean she's still upset about her cat? I looked at mom and said "well, mom, considering that he just passed this morning, yea...." and her response was "I guess that's normal for you people" LOL...she didn't mean anything by it, it was just a thought that came out of her mouth. So, you see, my mom isn't an animal person like "us people", lol.

I heard that Ginger is doing a-ok in her bachelorette pad....ummm, I mean at your house. Spot disappeared for a while yesterday and came home exhaused this morning and he is now MIA. I heard something about taking Stu and Kasha some chicken soup and then heading over to keep Ginger company, so that must be where he is!

you know, when i'm around family, etc...i begin to wonder if i'm compensating for the loss of my soul-mate manx Homie in january, but then I get back here and realize that i'm not crazy...i just was too long away from enlightened folk like the ones here.

i may be "that woman" when it comes to animals, but unconditional love is in scarce supply in the world today, so i feel truly wealthy!

Thanks Celi. I think my dad thinks animals are for eating or something. When we were kids, my dad let us get a rabbit. And then said how about a mate for the rabbit. Soon we had LOTS LOTS of rabbits. All pets! But, he would sometimes tease us at the dinner table about having rabbit stew. He's just a farm boy all grown up, I guess.

I had to open up the window in our bedroom and turn the fan on high.. J.D. uh, went number 2.
He just finished his first dinner. I bought some Sophisticat at PetSmart today (thanks for your help Deb!) , and will give him some of that later this evening.

The chipmunk made it through the night. Even though it was cold. I figured he froze in the pipe last night. It is still trying to claw up the downspout. I took a lint vent brush (about 30 inches long) and put peanut butter on the tip and shoved it wll the way up the spout, hoping to entice the chipmunk to turn around, and come down the spout. I just don't know if (#1) it can turn around (to face downwards) and (#2) if it can get past that Z bend in the pipe. Hoping and fingers crossed.
My dad said maybe we can flush it out with water. I don't think so dad. I told my step mom, maybe we can put a cube of butter at the top of the spout and it will melt and help the little guy slide down.

Be back later. We're barbequeing steaks (1 for J.D. and 1 for the drooler, too :-D ).

Hi Dyana, I hope you get the chipmunk out of the spout--poor little thing must be exhausted.
Your visit sounds like fun and it is nice to see family and be able to bring you kitty with you. In the meantime, Ginger is having a ball with all of J.D.'s friends.

J.D. loved his steak (little pieces of). And, there was nothing on it.. he's just a rising, cuz that's what he does.

Glad to see that J.D. is settling in ok. I think the chippy will get itself out - who can resist peanut butter.....
 
Thanks Joyce. I hope so.

J.D. had a decent walk around the perimeter of my dad's house this evening.
And right now, I'm out in the "garage" where the computer is, and my dad came out to announce that J.D. was wandering all around the house...and sniffing at the droolers food again. :roll:
Since J.D. is just climbing climbing, I think it's time to hit the hay.
 
I'm just now seeing that you are in CA for vacation with your folks. Hope you have a great time!!
