I felt a lot of guilt this morning that I did not test more last night. I have to forgive myself.
Yesterday, my almost 95 year old neighbor came by right before PMPS at 6:00pm, and I told her I had to shoot and feed my cat first before I could come out. Linde likes to sit outside and have a beer with me in the evenings when it's nice outside. Then, two more neighbors joined us and then another, and eventually pizza was served and we didn't all break up until dusk at 8:00pm. And, as always, just like Jackson does.. I fell asleep after I ate. I did test +2 though. I woke at +9 and thought about testing (so late in the cycle) and thought myself out of it.

This morning, Jackson ate his 1 can at breakfast. Right after that, while I was in the living room I kept hearing him in the kitchen up on the counter into the cat food cans (I rinse them for recycling and wait for them to dry), and I thought to myself did I put Sabrina's 1/2 can back in the cupboard? I got up to check and No, I did not! He had knocked it into the kitchen sink and had food on his white little nose trying to lick up that 1/2 can. I took a spoon and spoonfed him the rest of it
So, at +3 this morning, I just fed them the little bits of freeze dried beef that was left at the bottom of the bag.
Today, I will give them the dried crumbs from the two other 6oz bags, and then proceed to get out the sealed box of treats that just came in. I get 1 pound of freeze dried chicken, 1 pound of the salmon, and 18oz of the beef sirloin. I fill up the original three 6oz bags that I bought a long time ago and put those up on the highest shelf, and then I put the rest into three gallon zip lock bags and put those into cat proof containers and put them back into the box and put the box behind the basement door that sometimes closes and stays shut. When I open the basement door both cats come running. Cinderella, I mean Sabrina, runs down the stairs to explore and Jackson stops at the box of treats at the top of the stairs to smell it.
I swear I can say the word "treats" in the softest voice and both cats come running to me
. That's their favorite word in the whole wide world
To get the +5 just now, Sabrina was lounging in front of the open sliding glass door and I called and called Jackson and he didn't come, off sleeping somewhere. I picked up the emply FD Beef bag and he came for his test.
