Good morning!
AMPS 218 shooting 3.25u
Not sure what this higher number is all about; there hasn't been anything to cause a bounce.

Boomer got me up at the usual times last night; he does like his routines! He did eat reasonably well last night.

I'm experimenting with "steps" that he can use to get on to our bed at night. I realized yesterday that I hadn't even seen him on the bed in the spare bedroom lately and he used to spend every afternoon there. That was a simple fix....there was a chair beside his desk that he uses to get up on the desk so I just moved it between the desk and the bed. Our bed is not as easy but I'm working on a solution.

DH is golfing today so normally I would stay at home but since Boomer is higher this morning I may go out for an hour(ish). Birds are migrating now so I'm seeing a small number that I don't usually see. Today's photo is one of those birds....a Common Yellowthroat warbler!

I hope Boomer comes back down today. Hopefully you can find something to help him get on the bed and it will keep him from waking you up so much. Great picture.

Your photos are just gorgeous! That's beautiful...you can see every feather!!

I hope Boom's get on some schedule other than the night time = the right time to ask for food...hope he comes down today :)

Come on Boomer, grab some lemons, climb down out of the trees and drop them off at the tiki hut on your way to the lagoon!
Just an idea, I saw some pretty nice pet stairs last time I was at Petsmart.
Beautiful Warbler picture! I hope you can get out this morning to take more pictures. Have a great day Judy!

Funny about the stairs. I won some in a tricky tray many years ago. Our senior at the time knew immediately to use them. Any cat since, can't seem to figure it out.

I have things I can try without buying actual stairs (which I don't think he'll use) but my problem is placement....I can't put it at the end of the bed because our duvet is folded at the end of the bed and if he jumps up there he might slide right off it. But putting it at either side means one of us might trip over it. So I don't know. There is a bench under the window that he can jump up on (I think) so I might just change the placement a wee bit so it's closer to the bed.

You'll have to let us know what you engineer so that Boomer can get on the bed! Im curious!! what about something like a little homemade ramp?

Love the pic of the warbler.. it looks so fluffy and cuddly!

I have five various sets of stairs I've collected the last couple years. Every single cat (6) uses them. I put one right at my head next to the bed, and haven't tripped on it yet! I also have stairs at the foot of the bed.
I bet you can get or build something like a ramp, but if you trip on it, that's no good either.
One night I did trip and fall all over the stairs at the foot of bed, in the dark. I moved them to my husband's side of the bed and all is well!

When Frankie was too little to jump onto the bed I would put an office chair sideways at the bottom corner of the bed. He could jump to the seat and then use the arm to get the rest of the way up. It was easy enough to roll back to the desk in the morning. Might not work on hardwood floors without a rug to keep it from rolling.
