Hello FDMB,

I hope everyone and kitties are doing well. I posted before in the other forum (Acromegaly) that after losing Eddie, I have a brand new package (Penfill cartrdige 5x3 mL 100u/mL) that I would like to donate/give to someone using Levemir. Is there anyone nearby?

I contacted the vets and even the pharmacy and none of them will pass it on to someone who needs it. Everyone says they will dispose of it but that just seems wrong.

Please let me know if you need insulin and are nearby and we can work something out.

Thanks everyone.

Awwww Jodey, you’re the best. That’s so kind of you. I hope someone who needs it lets you know.
Sending you a big hello and hugs from me and Ivy.
We miss you and hope you’re doing as well as possible :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Have you tried animal rescue organizations? A lot of Neko's stuff went to a rescue specializing in older animals. It's an insulin used by both cats and dogs.

Thanks Staci and Ivy. It's one day at a time around here, that's for sure. I know this is totally weird to say but I miss the daily testing, shot time, posting, monitoring and not only because of muscle memory but also because of this community and our total commitment to our kitties.

I can totally understand what you are saying, Jodey! It's SUCH a huge part of our lives and I know I interact with more people here on a daily basis than I do in my "offline" life. We are a unique breed, those of us who are here.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Jodey, I hope you are able to find someone who is in need, it is a wonderful way to honour Eddie. Unfortunately I just picked up a new set of penfills and there aren’t as many of us on the forum using Lev as there are who use Lantus. I’ll ask my vet whether she has any new caregivers with kitties on Lev; it’s a long shot since at our last vetty visit, I was curious how many other caregivers she had with diabetic kitties on Lev and she said I’m her only Lev client (because I asked for it :cat:).
