WCR: Purred while she ate this a.m. after her shot. She wouldn't eat by herself, and kept meowing, so I went to check on her and sure enough, most of her num nums was still there. So, I sat next to her, talked to her and she went to town on said num nums. I left her about 10 minutes after that to take care of the others.
On another note, Bubba's back on antibiotics for his UTI (it's not working after 8 days... and the bleeding has gotten worse), and he's still losing weight. For the life of me, and despite multiple applications of the Fortiflora, I can't get him to eat more than I would like. I found some salmon Friskies Special Diet yesterday at PetSmart, and picked up 10 cans. He chowed down 64 grams (not in 1 sitting, but split into 2), and both times the bowl was clean. 3rd time, I gave him a bit more, and I think he ate most of it. This morning, he ate after his medication, but didn't eat all of what I had given him the second time. He peed twice in the litterboxes, and both times there was a bit of blood in his urine. I'm seriously considering stopping the meds altogether tonight since they're really not working, and getting him to the vet tomorrow morning to get this rectified once and for all. It may mean that he may end up getting a 2 week antibiotic shot instead, which would save my fingers a great deal of pain. He was back on the meds in the beginning as his urine was showing signs of pink, but as I continued to give him the meds, the pink began to become more red, and now it's red. Not liking this at all. He's been on Clavamox before, and it's cleared it up. My late Jr. Mint had a UTI probably, too, and unfortunately suffered from renal failure, and I'm not sure if the UTI brought on the renal failure or not. I don't want the same thing to happen to Bubba.
