Just a quick update. Been having computer issues with the storms so I have not been on much for a few days. Tuffy has not been feeling well. Hopefully it is still just stress. Of course, there have been a lot of people coming and going and perhaps that has unnerved her.

My son and daughter-in-law came down from VA to see me. They were going to be here Monday and Tuesday but due to the storm, they came yesterda. They said it was worth the ride to see me doing so well.

I have had a bit of deep tissue pain, as the swelling and bruising recedes, the tissues, muscles and nerves are coming back to life. I have been using hot compresses and that seems to help. I am now able to walk without assistance of a cane or crutches but continue to use them for my outside walks for safety purposes. I want to be sure the muscles are strong enough to react to any unexpected occurrences. I am also peddling for 20 minutes daily. YEAH.

Below is a picture of the rods, etc. now inserted in my hip and thigh. Hope all beans and kitties of vines are feeling better.

Hi Barbara,
Nice pic!! Sorry to hear that Nurse Tuffy is feeling the strain. I hope that she will feel much better soon. I'm sure that the stress of your accident has a lot to do with her being a bit "off" and that she'll improve just as fast as you are improving.

So nice that your son and daughter-in-law were able to come to see you and were impressed with how well you are doing. I hope the hurricane doesn't hit your area.

Thanks for visiting Rusty's condo this evening. We think of you a lot and are very happy that you are doing so well.

Hugs for you, scritches for Tuffy and the rest of the gang, and a nice pat for Khoko when you visit him again,

Ella & Rusty

QUCH!!!!!! Poor Barb, but that looks as stable as could be!! Know you are a fantastic healer & great person..Soon you will be as good as new--Hugs & much love from us! Thanks for today!

wow - love the hardware! I am glad though that you continue to improve. That is good news. Very nice too that you can walk unassisted while at home. :-D Healing vines for Nurse Tuffy - be better! Your mama needs your attentive care.

Thanks for the update Barbara - I am glad that you are doing so well.

Wow! You really are the Bionic woman, the x-ray proves it!
I hope you continue to improve and that the deep tissue pain eases off soon.
Enjoy your visit with your son and daughter in law. I'm sure they are happy to see you.

And please be careful when you adventure outside. I am glad to hear that you will take
a crutch or cane ... just for the occasional balance issue. ((((Barbara)))) I know you probably
don't want to admit to needing it. I think YOUR name should have been Tuffy.

Lots of hugs to you!

Impressive hardware, bet you have a lovely scar too! We PTs love that kind of stuff. We have paws and whiskers crossed that Tuffy starts feeling better too. :YMHUG:
