08/22 Eddie AMPS 317 PMPS 250 +8 157

Praying and hoping you and Eddie have a good vet visit and that you are able to get all the tests done that need to be done. Also that Eddie isn't too upset by the whole vet visit! Hoping your winds shift and things get better, that bad air does bad things for us hoomans and our furbabies, I am convinced of it!!! @Wendy&Neko had excellent ideas for those tests, I was wondering also about the pancreatitis test and senior panel. Glad Eddie is eating better though, those 5 P's are so important!

Thank you so much folks for your kind thoughts and support. Eddie did remarkably well this morning at the IM vet (including pooping on the exam table). The IM vet said Eddie looks really good in spite of all he has on board. Eddie was quite relaxed for Eddie and even had treats on the table and allowed the vet to use the stethoscope to be able to listen to his heart without any growling (Eddie growls but he never acts out). Vet said no murmurs, all sounds good.

We did:
Geriatric Panel 1.00
Feline Pancreas Specfic Lipase Add on
Cobalamin (Vitamin B12)

Vet said doing blood pressure once when he's been in the carrier and the car and into the clinic is not a good time to get an accurate blood pressure reading.

Sent to IDEXX and results will be back in a few days, We had a lot of talk around Eddie's dental situation and are trying to figure out how that might be addressed.

I was also asked to give permission to allow Washington State University Teaching Hospital access to all of Blue and Eddie's medical records as they are going to focus on them for research purposes.

I have to tell you I miss Blue more than I can say. I know if say it here it will be understood.

In the meantime, Eddie just had a good dinner and is back on his cushion.

We go on.

Fingers, toes, and paws crossed for good blood work results. I hope the IM can come with ideas for his dental situation too. I get what the IM vet says about blood pressure. Neko used to go into a quiet room with me for a while before they'd attempt a BP test. Otherwise it would be through the roof.

We get what it means to miss Blue. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Over six years later, and I still miss my girl.

I'm so happy the vet visit went well and I hope all his labs come back good.
He's a good boy :cat: I guess Eddie wanted to leave them a little present on the exam table :p I know how you feel about your precious Blue, it's been 4 years since Tyler's brother Perry passed and I miss him every day :bighug::bighug::cat:
