Squallie isn't quite as perky this morning as he was yesterday. He woke me up around 4:00 AM, making that horrible "I'm going to throw up!" noise, and proceeded to vomit on my bed. I don't know whether it was because of his meds, or some other reason; I'm pretty sure he's not constipated. He recovered enough to eat a bit of brekkies, though. And he actually pawed my arm for an extra treat, lol! That made me ridiculously happy!
I tried him with catnip again, he acted like maybe he could smell at least a whiff of it, so maybe, if his sense of smell was off, it's improving now. I hope.
He's quiet this morning, but it seems to be a contented quiet, not an unhappy or uncomfortable one. I know his BG numbers have been really wacky lately, but it's because I've been letting him have Dr. Elsey's dry food whenever he wants it; I will accommodate any desire he has to eat! His 2-week average has gone up, to 84, but that's still within a reasonable realm, to me, so I'm not worrying about it. (You can really tell things have changed when I don't worry about BG numbers going up, even a tiny bit.
