Good morning!
AMPS 265 shooting 3.25u
Boing boing boing.

Boomer got me up 3 times last night! The first time was around +4 (11:00) and I grabbed a different food from the cupboard to give him. He called me again a few minutes later, I got up picked him up and placed him on the bed. He jumped right back down but went to his bed. Then at +9 (4:00) he got me up again. sigh.

I don't know what else to do to get him to eat on his own at night. I bought some different foods for him to eat at night (so he doesn't get bored of his food). The new food works for maybe one night then he won't eat it. He doesn't like the smell of parmesan. He likes treats crumbled on his food but he licks the treats off the top then cries for more. And yes I mix the treats in but it doesn't matter, once the ones on top are gone he's finished with it. I used to add a few small chicken pieces but he got tired of that. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate hearing them!

Today on the agenda....well we woke up to a thunderstorm but right now it's very dark but not raining. Time to get some inside stuff done in case the weather clears later.

What % carb are you feeding? Have you tried the Wureva BFF Play pates? They are ~5% carb. Frankie loves them!

Chicken Checkmate
Chicken & Turkey Topsy Turvy
Chicken, Duck & Turkey Take a Chance
Chicken & Beef Best Buds

I am trying to keep him on a low carb (under 10%), low phos variety of foods in the hopes that he doesn't develop a picky appy. So far, so good.
I will take a look at these....I don't remember seeing a pate made by Weruva.

Boomer, stop the boing boing.

@LizzieInTexas
As far As the weruva foods what are we going on for carb now? DMB or As fed? I remember seeing something from Dr Lisa about using as fed values. As fed makes more sense as it is what they are actually eating. So be it.

Any way if I look at the 1 food I would my cats the meal or no deal food: I don't give anything with fish in title

On ME it's 3.8% carb
On DMB its 4.6% carb. 1.75% phos
On as fed its .70% carbs and .26% phos

mineral per 100/kcal is 409 phos. Which seems super high

so which do we go by???

Weruva does have pate, check out their website, they have a really good breakdown on the nutritional info. PetValue sells Weruva but usually only the popular ones, but you can order online.

Wish I could help with Boomer's finickyness, Leo is exactly the same. Always 3 or 4 open cans in the fridge and a buffet on his tray. I keep telling him about all the poor kitties out there that don't have anything to eat, but does he care? Nope.

Leo always wakes me up during the night even though I leave food out, if I ignore the purring and walking all over me, he tries digging me out from under the covers (by this time I'm fully awake) and if that doesn't work he chews on my lamp electrical cable and boing I'm up!

I wish I knew. I have asked several times and never seem to get a good answer . I look over all the values and take all into consideration. The other thing I have done is compare website with Dr. Lisa's list and use whichever table matches the closest. I don't feed the Weruva Patés just the BFF Play. Frankie is also eating the Fowl Ball and the Whole Earth Farm Duck. No fish based.

Just got back from the vet for his last booster shot. He weighs 6#'s!! but still lean and growing like a weed so I feel good with his diet.

Well I wasn't planning on going out this morning then the sun came out. The forecast was 40% chance of rain/storm within 45 minutes but luckily I took the chance and went out. Happy I did.....the first bird I photographed was one of my nemesis birds, the Indigo Bunting! I have seen one a couple of times before but never a good shot. This one wasn't bad but when I tried to get closer it dove.
