Reunion Update:
We had a GREAT Time
   at Camp Dian's
J.D. and Ginger were very vocal for most of the trip there. It took us about 6 1/2 hours to get to Deb's with 3 stops.
Right away, after quickly unpacking the cats, we were off to the airport, then off to Dian's for a few hours, then back to the airport, then back to Dian's.
We stayed at Deb's house, and enjoyed her always wonderful hospitality and friendship (((Hugs Deb!))). I brought some steak for J.D. and Ginger treats, and I think fed more to Spot, Ralph, Alli, and Molly. Deb was mad at me for turning her babies on to steak, because now she will have to furnish them with their own steaks.
Ginger, who is the more friendly of my two cats, basically hid the whole time, and J.D., who was once a feral and is more leary of humans, was more friendly and did not hide.
On Friday, it was up early and then off to Dian's and all you can eat buffet lunch with a huge gang of FDMBers. J.D. stayed in a tent like crate in the kitchen that day. We stayed up late late (for me) and had SMores (J.D. didn't have any, although it looked like it with his numbers  ) at the fire pit talking into the wee hours.
On Saturday, the main event, we got to meet a few more of my beloved friends and J.D. brought Ginger with him, and they stayed up in a bedroom, where they were more comfortable.
I was so happy to meet the FDMB members that I love on the board, and got to know them more
.
There was so much umm umm good food, that we ate constantly.
We ate ALL DAY LONG!, and then had more SMores and Mountain Pies? at the fire pit until the wee hours of the night.
It was like a wonderful camp for cat people. All of Dian's kitties, Spot, Mittsi, Dude, Ginger, and J.D. were there, and got lots of extra attention.
We met FDMB people come from all over the country at the party, and it was just so much FUN! I LOVED IT!
I didn't want to leave early, but because of the torrential rains and storms expected on Sunday, we left our friends at 3:00pm. I have a hard enough time driving in the dark, driving in dark and shiny wet streets and heavy rain, I didn't want to do. It turned out that it did rain sporatically sp? and we only drove the last hour in the dark. Oh, I was so happy to finally turn my high beams on for a few seconds (and be able to see!) for a few seconds on the last 10 mile leg home.
On the way home - we were all tired - there was only an occasional soft mew from J.D. and Ginger slept the whole ride home. We made it back in 6 hours with only the one stop for PMPS.
I did not wake up to my alarm this morning, as I somehow changed my cell phone alarm to vibrate, so J.D.'s shot was a little late. I could barely see, from just waking up, and could only think or guess that I gave him 0.0 of R this morning.
We then went btb for 4 more hours of lushious sp? sleep. I would have given him more R at +4, but that would mean it would affect him until +8 which is about his nadir for Levemir (like he's going to have one today :-| ) and I would be gone at that time (I have two back to back dentist appointments starting at +8  ) He has had two meals this morning, and some steak and fish flakes for treats. I think, he's presently laying on the kitchen rug, waiting for me to go to the refrigerator and hoping more steak will pop out of it at that time. I think I take them out for a little walk now (since it seems to have finally stopped raining in the past hour) to distract him.
My thoughts are with Jan and Sara, today.
And with Deb and her mom (who is having surgery today).
