Shen probably got into some kibble today.
I fed him his last PM +8 snack and had to step out till +11. I’d covered some leftover kibble that my civvies didn’t finish. When I came back, it was licked clean.
He did drop to 87 at +3, so that’s a relief.

You might have to lock the kibble away,
They are very cunning and clever when it comes to their favourite food.
I remember Sheba tore open a bag of dry food I had for the dogs and ate it. And it was very thick packaging!

I usually stand around to see everyone finish their food and Shen is generally good to walk away once he’s done. One of my civvies who used to clean up everyone else’s plate is not interested in her old job anymore, so some more kibble gets left behind these days

I lock up the pouches of wet food since everyone is crazy about it and I’ve had one of my cats tear 2 pouches clean open a couple of times, after getting through the cardboard packaging. Cats!

As of now, yes, too expensive :’)
I’ve been on a break from work for a while now, so Shen’s recent expenses have made a nice dent in my savings
I’m hoping to resume working by September latest and will try to slowly move the others to at least 50:50 dry, wet.
There’s also the issue of feeding - dry food is convenient for the rest of my family members to feed the civvies when I’m not around, which will happen a lot more once I go back to work. They don’t stick around for the food to be finished, so more chances for Shen to eat kibble. Just finished lecturing my mom for another fiasco today morning
